Note: There is no minimum percentage required as there is only one condition i.e. applicant must have passed HSC exams affiliated with any State Board or National level Board with no backlog.
Admission criteria are based on nativity i.e. Keralite or Non-Keralite candidates where Non-Keralite candidates will be eligible for admission only after all the applicants of Keralite origin are ranked and allotted and Non-Keralite candidates are not eligible for any reservations or any kind of fee concession.
Selection of candidates is on the basis of the merit of a candidate according to marks obtained by him/her in the HSC/Class 12 examinations.
There is the process of standardization of marks to make a merit list which is written below: Total Index Marks = Total marks secured for Higher Secondary + Marks secured in Mathematics.
For Example: If the student has secured 1000 marks out of the total 1200 marks and if he/she has secured 170 out of 200 in mathematics, his index marks will be 1000 + 170 = 1170 and these index marks will be used while making the final merit list.
Check: Kerala University Rankings
Most of the colleges have cut-off between 800-1000 as last index mark for General Category where only 6 colleges have cut-off (last index marks) more than 1000 marks and the highest cut-off is set by College of Applied Science, Adoor at 1133 last index marks and similarly, 6 colleges have cut-off in the range of 700-800 marks where lowest is set by Carmel college at 705 marks.
