• The program under 25 specializations. Admission will be provided based on the entrance examination and interview conducted by the University. U.G.C/ CSIR(JRF) Examination/SLET/GATE/Teacher Fellowship holder/M.Phil degree holder will be absolved from the entrance examination.

• The application fee of INR 1000/ - (INR 500/ - for SC/ST Category) ought to be paid through Challan or D.D of any Nationalized Banks.

• Master’s degree or a professional degree in relevant/ allied/ concerned subjects declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory authority.
• At least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale secured in the qualifying examination.
• A concession of 5% of marks, will be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/Differently-Abled.
• Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil course work with at least 55% marks (50%marks for SC/ST) in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale. 
• Appearing candidates can also apply for admission in PhD.

7. Draw a Demand Draft of INR 1100/- (INR 500/- for SC/ST) in favour of Finance Officer, Mangalore University.
8. Send 2 sets of the filled application form and D.D along with the supporting documents to-Chairman of the concerned P.G. Department/ Head of the Recognized Research Centre/ Principals of the Colleges having an affiliation for PhD. Programme.
