Aspirants seeking admission to 3 year Full-time Ph.D Program should have passed any Master’s Degree of Mangalore University or any other University considered as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/Cat-I and Differently-abled candidates) in aggregate or equivalent grade.
Selection will be based on the Entrance Test, Interview, and marks obtained in the Qualifying Examinations in the Ratio of 50:50 and overall minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/Cat-I) as per Merit Cum Reservation Policy.
Mangalore University offers good facilities and infrastructure for learning. It has one of the best libraries in Karnataka. It has a vast collection of books and magazines. Students are also given access to an e-library.
MU syllabus is outdated. The guest faculties aren’t good. Some of them lack basic knowledge of the subject. The permanent faculty base is better in comparison.
Although Mangalore University offers decent resources and facilities, in terms of academics it’s not a good option.
