Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University (KVAFSU) is a state university located in Bidar, Karnataka. Established in the year 2004, KVAFSU provides various Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programs. In addition, the university also offers Ph. D. in various specializations at the doctorate level. Application form can be downloaded from the official university website.

Admission to BVSc & AH, BFSc and B.Tech courses is granted on the basis of a valid score in Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by KEA.
The institute also offers M.Tech, M.V.Sc & M.F.Sc courses at the PG level. Admission to these courses is based on students’ performance in the relevant bachelor’s degree and written test.
MBA admission is offered on the basis of performance in written test followed by GD and the interview round.
For Ph.D. program, the university conducts separate entrance test followed by an interview. Final admission is subject to candidates’ past academic record.

Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University (KVAFSU) provides three bachelor’s programme at UG level, that are Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and Bachelor of Fisheries Sciences (B.F.Sc).

The university offers only one specialization in each for all the UG courses. The duration of the both of UG courses, B.Tech and B.F.Sc, are 4 years and 6 months including internship. The another B.V.Sc. & A.H. programme is of 5 years including internship.

Applicants interested in UG courses need to go through CET administered by the Karnataka Examination Authority. Admission for B.Tech and B.F.Sc. will be made based on merit of the candidates. Application for CET can be made on the official website of KEA.

Candidates interested in any of the UG courses should not be under 17 years.
The university offers 5% marks relaxation in B.V.Sc. & A.H programme for the candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

KVAFSU M.V.Sc, M.F.Sc & M.Tech Admission 2023

At the postgraduate level, the university offers courses such as Master of Veterinary Sciences (M.V.Sc), Master of Technology (M.Tech) and Master of Fisheries Sciences in one specialization. The duration of each of the PG courses is 2 years. Candidate shall possess a Bachelor degree in the respective subject with 6.00/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks from a recognized university/institute.

Selection for Masters degree programs will be done on the basis of the student’s performance in bachelor degree programme and written test conducted by the University.

KVAFSU MBA Admission 2023

KVAFSU also offers MBA course in Food Business in full-time mode at the postgraduate level. Graduation in the relevant discipline is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission. Final selection is based on qualifying the entrance test conducted by the university followed by candidates’ evaluation by considering their performance in GD/ PI and the relevant work experience (if any). KVAFSU Ph.D. Admission 2023

In addition to various UG and PG courses, the university provides research-based program viz. Ph.D in selected specializations. Each of the specializations takes 3 years to be completed. For admission to Ph.D, the candidate must have completed bachelors degree with a minimum OGPA of 6.5/10 (6.00/10 for SC/ST category candidates).

The admission for Ph.D. programme will be done on the basis of candidate’s performance in a written test and marks obtained in Postgraduate program.

For PG/Ph.D Courses:

Candidates can download the application form available on the University website
Fill in the necessary details.
Pay the prescribed Application fee through a Demand Draft in favour of “Comptroller, KVAFSU, Bidar”
Application fee is INR 800 (General Candidates) and INR 400 (SC/ST/Cat-I candidates)
