For M.A./M.Com, candidates must possess a graduation in the requisite field with an aggregate score of 50% in the said subjects. For M.sc, candidates must have a valid graduation degree in the requisite field.

For MBA, candidates who have completed their graduation in any specific discipline are eligible. For PhD and Diploma courses, candidates need to complete graduation/post-graduation in the specific field with an aggregate of 50%.

Admission is done priorly two times in a year i.e. January and June as per the guidelines provided by UGC-DEB. Students get an added advantage as they have online resources and an E-Learning portal for their ease of studying.

KSOU has established a Skill Development Centre which helps students to prepare for the competitive examinations. Students adopting for coaching get hostel accommodation and other boarding facilities. KSOU provides post-matric scholarships to the candidates studying at the institute. Post-Matric Scholarship is provided in the terms of fee reimbursement, hostel fees. The institute also avails a defense scholarship for the students whose parents are the personnel of any wing in the Indian Army.

To avail of the scholarship, there are certain norms and conditions.
