Why are you thinking about NSIBM in the first place? Try for competitive exams and try to get into a top-tier management school.

As far as NSIBM is concerned I would not suggest it. The curriculum is not up to the mark and you need a good education to better prepare you for the future.

The following can be the reasons if you are joining this college:

  • You have scored low in UG.
  • You won't be able to clear competitive exams with a good percentile.
  • You are a resident of Jamshedpur and it will provide you with a location advantage.

If you are pursuing MBA then join a good college.

There are many online preparatory courses available for competitive examinations like SSC, Railway, Banking, etc. Some of these courses don’t cost anything. There are also various channels on youtube that you can follow.

Since your subject is Mathematics, you will have some advantages over the other aspirants in these examinations. If you start preparing from your undergraduate, you will get enough time to prepare for these examinations.

The best career option is to pursue your Master’s degree in Mathematics followed by MPhil or Ph.D. It can assure you a promising livelihood in Research or Teaching Field. If you are interested in Economics, you can do your master’s in that subject as well. Other choices include doing your MBA (Masters in Business Administration), CA, or CFA.

You don’t have many options open if you want to pursue jobs after your graduation.

Yes, it’s not possible to prepare for the IAS exam while pursuing your undergraduate degree from Kolhan University. Studying at Kolhan University gives you an advantage over other universities, as you don’t have to attend regular classes.

You can utilize the time and self-study. Start referring to NCERT books for classes 6 to 12 standard. Develop a habit of reading newspapers regularly. You can read The Hindu or Indian Express. Chalk out or make specific notes after completion of the reference books for later.a
