To get admission, Candidates have to fulfill the following Eligibility Criteria:
- They must have passed 10+2/Intermediate/ Higher Secondary or equivalent examination in PCB/ PCM/ PCA (P-Physics, C-Chemistry, B-Biology, M-Mathematics & A-Agriculture)/Arts with Home Science as one of the subjects conducted by an Education Board/University/Council (duly recognized by the H.P. Board of School Education, Dharamshala /MHRD, New Delhi).
- Minimum Percentage: 50% marks for General/OBC category (40% for SC/ST/DA category) in aggregate with English as one of the subjects and not less than pass marks in each subject.
OR
- Any examination of a University/Education Board/College/School in a foreign country recognized as equivalent for the purpose by the University with good knowledge of English.
- Selection is based on the Merit of the Entrance Test conducted by the University.
The college also offers B.Sc. and B.Sc. (Hons.) in many specializations. It also seeks admission for B.Tech in Food Technology for undergraduates for 3 years, 4 years and 4 years respectively.
B.Sc. is offered under Physical Sciences, (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), Life Sciences, (Botany, Zoology and Chemistry), and Hospitality and Hotel Management.
B.Tech. is offered under Food Technology. B.Sc. (Hons) is offered with-

CSKHPKV B.Sc., B.Sc (Hons.) & B.Tech. Eligibility Criteria
- B.Sc.- Minimum 50% marks in 10+2 with PCM subjects (Physical Science) and PCB (Life Sciences) or any subject (Hotel & Hospitality) along with English as core subjects.
- B.Tech./B.Sc. (Hons.)- Minimum 50% marks in 10+2 with PCM/PCB/PCA and English as core subjects.
CSKHPKV B.Sc., B.Sc. (Hons.) & B.Tech Selection Criteria
- The number of seats available for the above mentioned courses is 60.
- The admission is based on merit in the qualifying examination, except for B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture for which admission is based on the entrance test.
- The seats are allotted to candidates based on the counseling system. The seats are drawn merit wise as per the mode of admission.
- Candidates of SC/ST/DA category enjoy a relaxation of 10% in aggregate scores.
- Male students can also apply for B.Sc. (Hons.) Community Sciences programs.
- For subjects like Biology/Agriculture/ Mathematics, the one with a higher score will be considered for calculation of merit.
