NIFTEM is one of the best in food technology and entrepreneurship studies. It is a pretty good choice if you are interested in chemistry and biology.
NIFTEM is regarded as one of the best institutes regarding placements for food tech and management students. The following gives a brief of the same:

Food Tech and Management at NIFTEM |

85% |
Highest CTC |
8-9 LPA |
Average CTC |
5-6 LPA |
The first year is full of basics of both food tech and Management and from the 2nd year, the core subjects are taught especially all the food tech-related subjects ( food chemistry, food microbiology ) and core management parts.
One of my friends studied atNIFTEM . As per him, it is a very good institute and life is also very interesting, especially during the early college days as it was a new journey of his life.
Hence, life at NIFTEM will be very good. You will get the chance to develop and grow yourself in all aspects, from academics to extra curricular activities, but in the end it all depends on you on how you can use these opportunities to shape your future and career in a better way.
Among NIFTEM and CFTRI, the former is a better option. It is unique and the grooming and exposure that you will get at the campus are better than any other campus that offer food technology degrees.
For a post-graduate degree, textbook learning may not be up to the mark. But if you are industry-oriented then, it is one of the best options for you.
For the first two semesters, you will need to study around 8-9 subjects and do two visits under Village Adoption Programme. For the third semester, you will have to do a semester-long internship. You will be evaluated based on the projects that you handle during your internship. For your final semester, you can get your internship extended, get a PPO in a company, or come back to campus and take a research project. In recent years the highest CTC offered at the institute was 8-10 LPA.
