I adopted this course because it was required for my further studies. The faculty here are highly qualified and skilled as well as the teaching methods are also good. The faculty pays attention to almost every student. The sessional exams ( unit tests) are taken every month ( 3 sessionals a semester), viva at the end of the syllabus and at last an external exam.

Especially the Computer Department faculty are very nice and very well graduated. There is 3 sessional (internal ) and one final exam conducted during the whole semester. This makes it differ from other universities.

Ques
Which is better: Nirma IT or DDIT (DDU Nadiad) for CE (self-finance)?

● Top Answer By Shivam Thakkar on 28 Mar 22

Ans
Nirma University IT is a better option. The reasons are course curriculum, the teaching methodology used, and faculty. The seniors of the institute are also quite helpful.  Nirma University offers the best infrastructure among all other colleges in Gujarat. Some of the major recruiters for the branch are Cognizant, Motorola, Samsung, Wipro, etc. Students of Nirma usually get an average CTC of around INR 10 LPA.

Ques
What are the best things for Dharmsinh Desai University, Nadiad students to do on weekends?

● Top Answer By Rashi Verma on 09 Jul 21

Ans
You can kickstart your weekends by writing journals and indulge in other extra-curricular activities. Even during the weekdays, you will have time to do many things, like writing journals, playing sports or traveling. You can go for early morning jogging or cycling around the campus. If you love photography, then it will be best to visit Expressway Bridge on a Saturday night. Besides, you can also go to a movie or visit an eatery with your friends. The best part of the year comes during Felicific, a cultural fest that happens every year at DDU. You come at 8:30 in the evening and have the option to attend 2 hours of lectures only. If by any chance you have not completed your sheets and assignments, you can complete them during the cultural week. Apart from all fun, you can also prepare for your upcoming lectures or projects. You will find the weekend to be a good time to relax and study peacefully.

Ques
What should I do to survive in Dharmsinh Desai University?

● Top Answer By Shaima Unwala on 09 Jul 21

Ans
Several of my friends have graduated from this university and based on their experience, I can give you the following advice: Try to make few friends and be with them most of the time. Communicate with them the things that you wish to share. Be in contact with some seniors, they will surely help you. You will have 4 years, which are extremely important years of your life. It will decide your future and career path. Try to utilize them perfectly. You will learn a lot from the practical project works that would be assigned to you. Do not worry and think always about job prospects and placement. You should not feel awkward and clear your doubts anytime. Be in touch with the faculty members in your free time. Try and inquire about projects and the latest researches in the fields you are a part of. The college schedule would keep you very busy. Take good care of your health and fitness. Participate in competitions and try to enhance your skills.

Ques
I live in Vadodara. Which is better MSU or DDU Nadiad for computers?

● Top Answer By Chirag Dey, on 22 Oct 21

Ans
One of my friends studied in DDU and after gathering some information online, I can give you a proper comparison. Analyzing this you will be able to make your decision. DDU has an edge over MSU, when comparing CSE departments. MSU's programming events at their annual technical festival, FootPrints, was also disappointing. They use outdated equipment in their labs and the overall competition was not as good as DDU. The Computer Engineering course of DDU has programming languages and technologies early on in the 4 year duration and core CS theory subjects after, unlike MSU.  Java is taught in DDU in the 3rd sem but in MSU, it comes in the 6th.  Web technologies are introduced in DDU in the 4th sem unlike MSU .If you choose DDU, expect lots of exams and strict rules.  FootPrints at MSU happen at a much larger scale than DDU's Felicific.  The DDU schedule will keep you busy and focussing less on extracurricular activities. MSU hostels have received a lot of student complaints. In comparison, DDU's hostel is more comforting. Categories DDU MSU Course Fee INR 6.08 lakh INR 6,000 Highest CTC 10 LPA 8 LPA Average CTC 6 LPA 3.5 LPA Recruiting Companies TCS, Infosys, Crest Data Systems, etc. TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc. It is suggested that you go for DDU instead of MSU. But finally it is your choice. Choose the one that meets your needs and requirements, as it will be easier to blend in.

Ques
What are the best student organizations or clubs to join at Dharmsinh Desai University, Nadiad? Why should students join them?

● Top Answer By Taniya Bose on 19 Jun 21

Ans
There are various clubs at Dharmsinh Desai Universitywhich you can join. Here are some of them. DDU Connect: This is a great group. They started many activities like publishing monthly magazines and journals for the institution. Spandan: This is a very special group that includes activities like Orphanage visits, Old age home visits, blood donation camps, Thalassemia check-up camps, Eye donation pledges, etc. This group had organized an eye donation camp with DDU Connect, which holds the Guinness book of world records of having the maximum pledges. CSI: This group is joined mostly by CS and IT branch students although everyone can join this group. This group organizes technical fests every year. There are also some other groups like NSS which is a social club, Shutterbugs which is a photography club, Go Mad and IT Talks which are student activity centers. Hence, these are some of the best groups at Dharmsinh Desai University which every student should join as there they will get to meet new people and explore many things and also learn some new skills at the same time.

Ques
Which is better for computer engineering LD or MSU or DDU nadiad? Like environment in class rooms and placement.

● Top Answer By Priya Patel on 13 Oct 21

Ans
After doing some research online about these colleges, I found out that mostly students prefer DDU. It would be better in all the ways from campus to placements. The campus of DDU is very good. The infrastructure is well developed. All the required facilities are provided and they are fully functional. The labs are well maintained. The teaching faculty is very good and much better than LD and MSU. The academic curriculum at DDU is better than LD and MSU. Companies such as Infosys, GSFC, Reliance, Wipro visit for hiring. You may also want to know that why they do not prefer LD: It is a Government institute and it comes under Gujarat Technological University. The exams are conducted at odd timings. The schedule is not followed well and vacations are not given at the proper time. The students do not get time to learn anything or do internships. The labs are poorly maintained and not functional. The teaching faculties are not good and supportive. Students have to do self study. The only advantage of studying at LD is that it gets a good number of companies as it comes under GTU. Companies such as TCS, Accenture, Cybage, Persistence, HSBC, elite core, Wipro, matrix visits for hiring. The students passing out from DDU have more skills and knowledge compared to other students. So, overall, DDU would be a better option.

The highest CTC offered was more than 30 lakhs and the average CTC offered was nearly 6 lakhs. Ques
Which is a better option: PDPU computer science or DDU computer science?

● Top Answer By Sayani Sen on 19 Jan 22

Ans
It will be better if you go for PDPU for computer science than DDU. One of my friends studied at PDPU and according to him, just like any other college, it also has its fair share of pros and cons. Pros: PDPU offers students with proper industrial visits and job opportunities. They provide the exposure needed to succeed in the industry. They let you familiarize with the functioning of the industry to make you ready. They have the best campus facilities in Gujarat. With a well maintained infrastructure, it even beats the reputed Nirma University. Students here are also encouraged to take part in extracurricular activities, clubs and committees for their holistic development. Cons: The college is comparatively costlier than other colleges in the region. The faculty lacks experienced professors. Most of the faculty members are new. If doing further studies is your intention then investing a lot of money for a bachelor degree here might not be a clever option. Therefore, opt for what suits your career goals and can fulfill them. Make an informed decision after going through every detail properly.

Ques
Which is a better option pdpu computer science or ddu computer science?

● Top Answer By ShriHari Chaurasiya on 14 Oct 21

Ans
My sister studied computer engineering at DDU. Based on her experience I will recommend you to join DDU. Here are the reasons why you should choose DDU.  DDU CSE department is way older than PDPU. As a department, it has more experience. It has also improved a lot over the years.  The faculty members are well-educated and highly experienced. The laboratories are well-facilitated. From 4th sam, you will have to do projects. That way you will get to learn about real-life projects. The placement record for DDU is also quite good. The placement average is around 95%.  So, overall DDU Computer Science will be a great option.

Ques
What is remedial exam in DDU?

● Top Answer By Neeti Desai on 21 Apr 22

Ans
Dharmsinh Desai University has remedial examinations for students who fail to clear internal or external examinations. In internal, you need to score at least 36 marks in subjects having practical lab and 45 marks in subjects having no practicals, to pass. If you have the required internal scores, you need to score 18 marks out of 60 in the external examination, to pass.  If you fail in internal or external, you have to take the Remedial examination. If you fail in Remedial, you will get another chance to clear the subject in Re-remedial. If you can’t clear the re-remedial, you will be detained.
