NIFTEM MBA admission 2022 have started. The institute released application forms for registration on May 16. Interested candidates can apply for the program till June 30. The application fee required for applying is INR 1000 for general category students and INR 500 for the reserved category. NIFTEM offers admission its MBA program based on past two year’s CAT or MAT scores. Candidates applying with the CAT scores must have 85% percentile in the exam. For candidates with MAT scores, the prefered percentile is 70. The institute also allows admission to candidates without CAT or MAT scores. In such cases, the NIFTEM conducts its own entrance exam. The total course fee for the MBA program is INR 3.42 Lacs (approx).

The minimum requirement to apply for the MBA program at NIFTEM Sonepat is a Bachelor’s degree in or equivalent in any discipline. Candidate should have scored 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree. The institute reserves 5% marks for the reserved category candidates.

Admission to the NIFTEM Sonepat MBA program is based on CAT/MAT 2022 scores. Candidates applying without these scores will have to appear for the institute-based entrance exam. The institute shortlists candidates for the GD/PI round based on the scores obtained in CAT/MAT or Internal-Test scores. Final selection to the program is based on marks scored in CAT/MAT/ Internal test, GD/PI, and work experience of the candidate. Candidates applying with CAT or MAT scores should have 70+ percentile in the respective exam. NIFTEM MBA CAT cutoff is 85 percentile and NIFTEM MBA MAT cutoff is 70 percentile.

How to Apply?
Application process at NIFTEM Sonepat is online. Candidates applying to the program are required to submit their personal details, exam scores, work experience. The application fee for form submission is INR 1000 for general category and INR 500 for the SC/ST/PhD
NIFTEM MBA is a 2 year course divided intro 4 semesters. The program includes 20 mandatory courses and 30 electives. Out of the 30 elective courses, students in the 3rd and 4th semester of the program select 5 courses to complete the required credits.

The choice of electives is on the pattern of 2+3 or 3+2. For example, if a student selects 2 electives from the compulsory specialization FABM (Food & Agri-Business Management) and 3 electives from Marketing as second specialization in III Semester, then, in the IV Semester, he will have to choose 3 electives from FABM and 2 electives from Marketing. International Immersiona is an integral part of the MBA program. Students pursuing MBA at NIFTEM Sonepat are sent abroad to the Universities/ Institutes/ Industries collaborated with the institute.
In addition to the International Immersion program, MBA students also participate in the Village Adoption program initiated by NIFTEM. The program started in 2012 to sensitize and educate farmers about their problems at the grass root level.
NIFTEM charges INR 78,900 per semester from its MBA students. This includes INR 49,500 of tuition fee which is exempted for SC and ST category students. In addition to the below given fees, NIFTEM Sonepat charges INR 1,40,000 for its International Immersion Program in the second semester from every student.

NIFTEM MBA Placements 2020 has been successfully concluded. Every year, almost 75% of the graduating batch gets placed. The highest salary package recorded was INR 10 LPA, average salary was INR 4.5 LPA & the lowest salary package recorded was INR 3.5 LPA. Ques. How to check if a student is selected for MBA at NIFTEM?
Ans. The list of shortlisted candidates for MBA at NIFTEM are released on the homepage of the official website of NIFTEM for GD/ PI round after the initial application. The final list is also published in the Admissions section of the website after all the rounds are completed.
Ques. Are hostel facilities available at NIFTEM for MBA students?
Ans. Yes, NIFTEM provides comfortable hostel accommodation for both boys and girls. There are four hostels, two each for boys and girls. The hostels are accompanied with modern facilities, gymnasium and 24 hour canteen service.
Ques. Are there any relaxation of marks for certain categories for MBA at NIFTEM?
Ans. For admission to MBA courses candidates need to qualify Bachelor degree with a certain aggregate. For General candidates the minimum aggregate percentage should be 50%. For students from reserved categories, 5% relaxation is granted.

Ans. NIFTEM’s scholarship scheme covers M. Tech and B. Tech students. MBA students in need of a scholarship need to arrange for the same from other sources.

The first year is full of basics of both food tech and Management and from the 2nd year, the core subjects are taught especially all the food tech-related subjects ( food chemistry, food microbiology ) and core management parts.
One of my friends studied atNIFTEM . As per him, it is a very good institute and life is also very interesting, especially during the early college days as it was a new journey of his life.
Hence, life at NIFTEM will be very good. You will get the chance to develop and grow yourself in all aspects, from academics to extra curricular activities, but in the end it all depends on you on how you can use these opportunities to shape your future and career in a better way.
Among NIFTEM and CFTRI, the former is a better option. It is unique and the grooming and exposure that you will get at the campus are better than any other campus that offer food technology degrees.
For a post-graduate degree, textbook learning may not be up to the mark. But if you are industry-oriented then, it is one of the best options for you.
For the first two semesters, you will need to study around 8-9 subjects and do two visits under Village Adoption Programme. For the third semester, you will have to do a semester-long internship. You will be evaluated based on the projects that you handle during your internship. For your final semester, you can get your internship extended, get a PPO in a company, or come back to campus and take a research project. In recent years the highest CTC offered at the institute was 8-10 LPA.
