Course Description

Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) with specialization in Mechanical Engineering is a four year undergraduate course and is one of the most sought after degree courses in engineering stream. The eligibility to take admission in this course is 10+2 pass or equivalent.

Mechanical Engineering is the oldest branch of engineering. It was emerged as field of study in 18^th century when industrial revolution took place in Europe. Both the Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) and the I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (PTU) are public universities consisting of many private and public engineering colleges. If you are getting private colleges in both of the universities, then there is no point of comparison as both will be essentially the same.

For a good job after your studies, you need to concentrate on the training you will receive between your studies. Also, you will have to practice programming languages very thoroughly. If you can get a percentage of 70% - 75%, then getting a job won’t be a problem in either of the universities.

If you want to stay outside to become independent, then sure you can join any college which is a little farther from your home.

Why MDU Rohtak is not a good choice for doing B.Tech?

MDU Rohtak is an average university. Although there are not many opportunities made available to the students you can turn the tables with your caliber and skills.

If you are a mediocre student with good writing skills then MDU would be the best fit for you. The students tend to write gibberish in the examination halls and yet pass their exams in the first attempt. Assuming that you are an average student, scoring good marks in your exams would not be much of a challenge.

If you are pursuing the course only for procuring a degree then UIET MDU would be a good decision. Your college life here would be quite challenging as you would have to fight for the bare minimum. For lab keys, placement opportunities, better grades and such are a part of this fight.

Otherwise, your passion for the course would be well catered at MDU Rohtak. Make a decision you do not regret later.

You will have to visit MDU Rohtak, to obtain a duplicate degree certificate. Carry your ID proof, marksheet, provisional certificate, and college ID along with you. Fill out the MDU Rohtak application form for duplicate degree certificate. The required details to fill out the application form are as follows -

MDU Rohtak is an excellent state university in Rohtak, Haryana, India. It is recognized as an ‘A’ grade university by NAAC.

Earlier IIM Rohtak was within the campus of MDU but has been shifted to another place quite recently.
The university offers tremendous courses in various fields of study at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate levels.
Apart from offering such advanced courses in the collegiate university it also provides programs through colleges, centers and institutes throughout the region.

The infrastructure of this institute is considered as one of the best in India. The library is enormous with new and updated books and 24x7 reading facilities. The faculty is decent but has the scope of improving.

Both universities are on the same level and are reputed state-level Universities with UGC recognition. Only these two are amongst the other 62 universities in India from Harayana, who have autonomy because of their high standards of excellence.

Kurukshetra University was ranked A+ Grade by NAAC and ranked 8th among state universities in India.

MDU, on the other hand, has a great infrastructure with new records in sports every year. The university has a comparatively low fee structure and a safe environment for girls. However, in terms of placements and faculty, MDU is still lacking behind.

You should go to Kurukshetra University as it will offer great exposure along with academics.

MDU Rohtak is a decent university. It is suggested that you weigh your options such as placements, distance from your residence, transport facilities, faculty, etc. before opting for MDU Rohtak.

The placements here in the mechanical and electrical branch are not contenting at all.
If you have other options of better universities available to you at the moment then you should opt for that.
It is suggested that you keep MDU Rohtak as your last resort.
If you are reluctant about your decision then you should consult with the seniors of MDU Rohtak to gain a better insight about the facilities and opportunities that would be made available to you as a student of this university.

Yes, MDU Rohtak is offering Bachelor in Physical Education (B.P.Ed) for 2022. The 2-year long course will be delivered under the faculty of education. Admission to the program is based on past academic performance. The eligibility criteria for the program are graduation with at least 45% aggregate marks and participation in IUSB or Govt. of Haryana recognized games up to the state level. Applicants also need to clear the Physical Efficiency Test.
