Established in 2008, Assam Don Bosco University is run by the Don Bosco Society, Azara, Guwahati. The university has three campuses in Assam– Azara, Tapesia, and Kharguli. The university is accredited by NAAC.
The University offers graduate, post-graduate, and doctoral-level programs. B. Tech, BCA, B.A and B.Com are offered under its under-graduation wing while M.Tech, MSW, M.Sc, MCA, MA, and MBA in various streams are offered at the postgraduate level. Assam Don Bosco University also offers Ph.D. in 15 specializations. There are online programs offered for MBA, MCA, and certificate courses.

The university offers B. Tech in five specializations and lateral entry to B.Tech. The minimum eligibility for B. Tech is to be pass 10+2 examination with at least 45% aggregate marks and Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. For B. Tech lateral entry, candidates have to be diploma or B.Sc. Degree holders in relevant field from an AICTE approved university.
The selection of candidates in first-year B.Tech is based on the merit in the qualifying examination and entrance test i.e. JEE Main/state entrance test/Don Bosco University Graduate Entrance Test. Admission to second-year B.Tech will be based on candidate’s performance in Don Bosco University Graduate Entrance Test (DBU-GET).

The basic eligibility is to be a Graduate in relevant stream of Engineering and Technology with 60% aggregate marks.
