Latest Update: GITAM University admission 2023 is currently going on. The last date to apply for GAT 2023 Phase 2 is April 24, 2023, and the Phase 2 GAT exam will take place on April 28 – 30, 2023.

GITAM University, Visakhapatnam offers a two-year full-time MBA degree across various specializations, such as International Business, Finance, Marketing, Business Analytics, Human Resources, and Operations. GITAM University MBA admissions are based on the candidates’ performance in the GITAM Admissions Test (GAT) 2023.

Candidates who have appeared for MAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT/ATMA/ or any other nationalized MBA entrance examinations are exempted from taking the GAT exam. Candidates are chosen from a pool of applicants based on their application and admissions test scores. Participants with a low Admissions test score and a poor application are rejected in this round.

GITAM University Vizag MBA Eligibility Criteria

Students aspiring to get into the MBA course of the institute are required to have at least a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks as an aggregate. Students in the final year of their graduation are also eligible to apply.

Admission into the MBA course is based on the candidates’ performance in the GAT 2023 examination. Candidates who have appeared for any of the nationalized MBA entrance exams such as CAT/MAT/XAT/NMAT/CMAT are exempted from appearing in the GAT examination.

Both of these colleges are some of the best in the state of Andhra Pradesh, but, I think HCU would be better than GITAM since HCU is a public university hence the ROI would be more as compared to GITAM. Still, it would be good if you connect with some of the current students and alumni of the respective universities.

Should I join Amrita Coimbatore or GITAM Vizag? I am from Vizag.

Both GITAM and Amrita are among the top colleges. Having friends studying in both the institutes, I have gathered some ideas about them.

Amrita has comparatively a higher fee structure than GITAM. GITAM on the other hand provides much more opportunities to its students.
The faculty here is terrific as they belong from top institutes. The infrastructure is splendid and developed.
The campus has a pleasant environment and the academics are outstanding.
The placement opportunities are contenting compared to Amrita. It would be more improved by the time you reach your graduation year.

Among Hyderabad Central University (HCU) and GITAM University Vizag, it is suggested that you go for Hyderabad Central University.

Studying at Hyderabad Central University will be a much safer option, considering academics and placements.
Being a central university and entertaining politically affiliated student organizations on campus catches the attention of national media.
The faculty is much more interactive here, and are more than willing to stay back after work if guidance is required.
GITAM has better hostels than Hyderabad Central University.
HCU has much lower fees compared to GITAM.

Lastly, placements majorly depend on the individual and not on the institution. So, if you work hard no matter the institution, you will definitely secure a good placement offer from a reputed company.

Which is better in terms of fees, studies, placements, food and hostels, KIIT or GITAM University?

KIIT is a better option in terms of fees, academics, placements, and hostel accommodation. The placement opportunities available are especially good for CSE, IT, and ETC branches. Many IT firms frequently visit KIIT placements and hire a huge number of students. During 2022 placement drive, students received an average CTC of around INR 6.05 LPA. Some of the major recruiters for the institute are Escorts, Capgemini, Accenture, Infosys, etc.

Which college is good for mechanical or ECE, GITAM in Vizag or Malla Reddy Engineering College in Hyderabad?

NIRF ranked GITAM institute for B.Tech as 101 out of 200 in India for the year 2020. On the other hand, according to The Week, Malla Reddy was ranked 151 for B.Tech in India 2020.

Here are the eligibility criteria for admission to GITAM University through AP EAMCET:

Candidates should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry/Biology as optional subjects.
They should have scored at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in the qualifying examination.
