GITAM offers B.Tech, B.Arch & B.Pharm courses in the field of Engineering and Technology, Architecture & Pharmacy. Candidates need to pass 10+2 examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (50% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry/Biology from a recognized Central / State Board or its equivalent.
Admission to the B.Tech, B.Pharm courses are done on the basis of marks obtained in GAT(UGTP). Candidates seeking admission to B.Arch. program should qualify in NATA / or JEE (Main).

Selection Process: GITAM conducts GAT (UGTP) to provide admission in B.Tech, B.Pharm & B.Arch programmes offered by Vishakhapatnam, Hyderabad & Bengaluru campuses. The ranks secured by the candidates will be announced within 10 days after the completion of the GAT. 25% seats in GAT will be reserved for brilliant students of Karnataka state for admission at Bengaluru campus.
Exemption from GAT: Direct admission will be offered to all central & state board toppers. Such candidates can take admission to any programmes of their choice without taking GAT. In case of Engineering & Pharmacy courses, candidates have to apply on priority basis in the University.
Pattern of GAT (UGTP): This test is of 2-hour duration with three sections with MCQs. Two marks will be allotted for each correct answer & one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. GAT (UGTP) will be conducted in online mode only.

GITAM MBBS, B.Sc Nursing, BCA & B.Com Admission 2023
GITAM offers various undergraduate programs in the streams of Science, Business Administration, Computer Application, Medical Sciences, Nursing and Legal Studies. The duration of all the UG courses is of three years except for the MBBS and B.Sc Nursing programs which are of five years and four years respectively.
For BBA programs, candidates have to qualify for UGAT or GAT examination. Candidates seeking admission to the BCA, B.Sc. BEM programs are required to appear for GAT. Admission into the LL.B. program is based on merit in the Entrance test For admission to the MBBS course, aspiring candidates need to sit for NEET examination conducted by CBSE.

Selection Process: Admission will be granted on the basis of score in the entrance test followed by interview of shortlisted candidates. Candidates have to produce the below listed documents at the time of final admission:

The course curriculum is good. there are three mids for every semester they chose the best of two mids for 30 marks and 10 marks for assignment remaining 60 marks for the semester exam. there are two semesters every year. total of eight semesters is held. Placement and job opportunities are wonderful in our college. our college does not provide internships but they will provide details of all reputed companies' internship availabilities. I am blessed to join this.

There was an entrance exam called GAT(Gitam admission test). I gave it online due to covid. The test was simple with basic intermediate questions. I got a rank of 541 which gave me a 50% scholarship. The scholarship continues only if the student scored 8gpa every year. There are no improvements I would like to suggest.

Both GITAM and Amrita are among the top colleges. Having friends studying in both the institutes, I have gathered some ideas about them.
Amrita has comparatively a higher fee structure than GITAM. GITAM on the other hand provides much more opportunities to its students.
The faculty here is terrific as they belong from top institutes. The infrastructure is splendid and developed.
The campus has a pleasant environment and the academics are outstanding.
