My friend is a final-year student at DIT University. Since the university is a private one, everything is simply in your hands. 

The following points are based on her experience at the campus:

• Campus: The university has a good environment. You can enjoy the sterile hilly scenic beauty from the windows of the class. All this might even distract you from the lectures going on while studying.
• Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and would definitely help you out in any way possible. As per my friend, there are only a smaller number of ‘not par’ teachers, but they were average. Most of the faculty members are well qualified with good experience in their respective fields. 
• Extra-curricular activities: Right from the freshers’ party till the farewell, you will get countless opportunities to perform in front of the audience and showcase your talent. You can join college clubs, be a part of them and bring out new ideas. The clubs aren’t very active and you’ll be free most of the time you stay here. 
• Placements: The placements were good this year. My friend got placed in two companies: Infosys and Wipro. For the CS branch, the placements are very good. Infosys, Wipro, Cognizance, TCS, Adobe, Amazon, etc. are just a few companies in which the DIT students have got placed.

Apart from this, the hostels are really neat and clean with good infrastructure. Food available in the mess is also descent. People often miss the place and the college once their studies finish here.

Computer Science and Engineering is one of the most preferred streams by the students while pursuing a B.Tech degree. DIT University Dehradun and ITM University Gwalior offer a B.Tech degree to highly efficient students.

Admission

• DIT University: Admissions for the ECE branch is given through merit-based counseling based on the ranking of JEE Main. 10% of seats are reserved for XII board toppers. 10% of seats are reserved for NRI candidates.
• ITM University: For admission in ITM University Gwalior, applicants have to give the entrance exam named ITM NEST.

Infrastructure Facilities

• DIT University: Project laboratory at DIT University consists of instruments like PCB Prototype Machine, 20 MHz Digital Storage Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyser, Wireless In-site Pro Module, Academic License of MATLAB.
• ITM University: At ITM Gwalior, the Department laboratory has software like MS SQL server, MSDN, MS Visual Studio, Oracle 9i, Linux 7.2, Win proxy, Turbo C++, Java, etc.

Placements

DIT University:

• Top recruiters at DIT University are Google, Adobe, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Nestle, Deloitte, Hewlett Packard, ThoughtWorks, Mindtree, Optum, HackWithInfy, etc.
• The highest package received by the student of DIT was 25LPA at Amazon.

ITM University:

• At ITM, two students got packages worth 12 lakh each by Amazon.
• More than 60,000 placement opportunities have been given to the students by nearly 350 recruiters.
• Top recruiters visiting ITM University are TCS, Mphasis(EDS), Hexaware, Infosys, Torry Harris, Persistent, Accenture Applabs, Zensar, Syntel, Mahindra, Wipro, IBM, etc.

It turns out that the CSE branch at DIT offers the students with the best facilities and placement. Now the choice is of the student that they want to study in North India (DIT University) or Central India (ITM University).

Both DIT Dehradun and JUET Guna are good options for CSE. NIRF has ranked DIT 129 for B.Tech and JUET in the 86 position among the universities of India.

DIT: It offers B.Tech and M.Tech programs in CSE. DIT offers B.Tech programs in Computer Science and Engineering with 160 credits. The program is designed with 7 specialized tracks to provide hands-on and advanced knowledge in key emerging areas of study.

Admission-

• B.Tech - Minimum 60% marks in 10th Std., aggregate 60% marks in plus two and a minimum of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English/ Physics Mathematics, Biology, and English/ Physics, Mathematics, English, and Computer.

• M.Tech - A Minimum of 55% marks BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science & Engg/Information Technology/MCA. GATE qualified students shall be preferred.

• The course fee for B.Tech and M.Tech is 2 lakhs and 1.2 lakhs per annum.

Placements-

• Top recruiters of DIT include 4 Way Technologies, ATMECS Technologies, Click Labs, Enthuons Technologies Pvt ltd, Gemini Solutions, Hashedin Technologies, HSBC, and so on.

• The average CTC for CSE is 4.5 LPA.

JUET: The JUET has been at the forefront of churning out software engineers with a high caliber of technical expertise. The Department is an exciting place in which the faculty is friendly, well qualified, and able to provide a supportive environment for the students.

Admission-

• The JUET offers 300 B.Tech seats for CSE. Of these 150 are reserved for JEE qualified students and another 150 is for merit-based admission. M.Tech CSE offers 10 seats.

• Admission to the B.Tech and M.Tech program is through JEE Mains and GATE.

• The tuition fee per semester for the B.Tech course is Rs.82500 and M.Tech is Rs.42000.

Facilities-The department provides efficient and most up-to-date computing equipment including IBM and Compaq Servers, Multimedia Lab, Programming Lab, and Networking Lab, to support learning and teaching activities.

Placements- During the 2016-20 B.Tech batch, 268 students were admitted. Of these 227 students got eligible for higher studies. Among this, 4 students opted for their higher studies and 223 students interested in placements. Nearly 163.23% of students got placed during the academic year.

The JUET offers more placement offers to the students. Also, the campus infrastructure is quite good.
