Founded by Unison Group, DIT University was established in 1998. It got the status of State Private University in 2013 approved by the UGC. DIT offers 51 unique UG, PG and Ph.D. courses across 26 streams along with Diploma and PG Diploma courses. Application form for all the courses offered by DIT University is available on the official website.

For B.Tech and B.Arch admission, preference is given to JEE Main score.

• For the B.Tech program, direct admission is offered to 10+2 board toppers.
• NATA qualified candidates are also eligible to apply for the B.Arch course.
• Admission to BA (Hons), B.Sc (Hons), BCA, B.Pharm and B.Des. at UG level and M.Sc, MCA, M.Des. at PG level is completely merit-based.
• For B.Pharm, the university also accepts UKSEE score.
• CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT qualified candidates are eligible for admission to the MBA program. Final admission is offered on the basis of candidates’ performance in GD and PI conducted by the university.
• Candidates without any of the above score can also apply for admission based on UKSEE/DUET score for MBA.
• For the M.Tech program, DIT University gives preference to a valid score in GATE/NET.
• NRI & Industry sponsored candidates are also eligible for direct admission to all the UG and PG courses.
• For Ph.D. admissions, DIT University conducts DIT University Entrance Test (DUET) followed by an interview.

DIT University offers B.Tech and B.Arch course at UG level. The basic eligibility for both the courses is a pass in 10+2.

Admission preference into B.Tech is given to students having valid score in JEE Main while B.Arch admission is based on the NATA or JEE Main (Paper 2) score.

Key Points:

• Board toppers and NRI & Industry Sponsored candidates are eligible for direct admission. 

• 10% seats are reserved for both category of candidates.

The university also offers B.Pharm, B.Sc, BCA, BA & B.Des courses at the UG level. 10+2 in the relevant subject group is the minimum eligibility criteria for these courses. 

For admission into UG courses, the candidates are shortlisted for the counselling round as per their marks in 10+2. In the case of B.Pharm., selection is also based on the UKSEE score.

Key Points

• 40% seats in all the UG courses are reserved for Uttarakhand Domicile, 50% seats are reserved for All India Candidates and 10% for NRI/Industry Sponsored students.

At PG level, the university offers M.Tech and MBA courses under various specializations. The minimum eligibility is a Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline.

In M.Tech admission, preference is given to GATE/NET qualified students exam. MBA selection is done on the basis of CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/UKSEE/DUET score followed by GD and PI.

DIT University also offers M.Pharm., M.Sc., MCA and M.Des. at PG level. A Bachelor’s degree is required for admission in all the PG courses. 

M.Pharm. admission is based on the GPAT/DUET/UKSEE exams. For admission into M.Sc., candidates are evaluated on the basis of their merit in the qualifying exam or UKSEE score. 

Admission to MCA and M.Des. solely depends upon merit in the qualifying exam.

At the doctoral level, the university offers a Ph.D. program to the students with the relevant master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.

A valid score in GATE/ SLET or NET is required for admission. The university also conducts DUET exam for Non-GATE/ Non-SLET/ Non-NET candidates. The final selection is based on Personal Interview (PI).

DIT University always encourages scholarly aptitude and merit in students and hence, provides scholarships to such students. Given below is the list of scholarships offered at UG and PG level.

UG Scholarships

1. Merit-Based Scholarships – Merit Scholarship can be availed on the basis of XII standard percentage at the time of admission and the same is applicable on the Program Tuition fees.
2. Uttarakhand State Scholarship Policy – 26% scholarship on Tuition fee shall be granted to permanent residents of Uttarakhand for whom 40% of seats are reserved throughout the program. For claiming Uttarakhand State Scholarship, the student will be considered eligible only if he/she is carrying a valid Domicile Certificate in Original at the time of reporting for Counselling/Admission.
3. Scholarship on the Basis of Sports – The scholarship amount will be awarded as per Sports Quota Scholarship policy which is applicable once at the time of admission on Tuition Fee only.
4. Shri Naveen Agarwalji Scholarship for Girl Student – Scholarship of 10% of Tuition fees applicable for Girl students in the first year for UG and Diploma programs subject to the following conditions:

• Student has scored 80% & above in X & XII Std. aggregate for UG programs and 80% in X Standard for Diploma programs.
• The scholarship percentage will remain the same for all categories of admissions.
• Scholarship to be continued from second-year provided student obtains CGPA 8.5 and above every year, without any back paper.

PG Scholarships

For PG students, the university offers Merit-Based Scholarships, Uttrakhand State Scholarship Policy, Scholarship on the Basis of Sports as provided to UG students, and Additional Scholarship for New Students (for the First year PG students).

Additional Scholarship for New Students – 

1.) Scholarship of 5% of Tuition fees is applicable for the siblings of present students/Alumnus on submission of the following documents:

• University ID Card and Aadhaar/Any valid photo ID proof of the siblings bearing the name of the parent.
• Copy of the Degree Certificate issued to the sibling by DIT/DITU (if applicable)

The above scholarship would only be granted if the student (sibling) has completed his/her studies from the University.

2.) Scholarship of 10% of Tuition fees for the students graduating/graduated from DIT University and opting for a higher program in DIT University without any gap on submission of the following documents:

• University ID Card
• Copy of Provisional Certificate issued in the same year /ac Grade Card (all semesters)
