• This four-year program is similar to the equivalent BEng degree but offers an additional year in which to undertake advanced modules and projects. Applying for the MEng allows students to fulfill the educational requirement for Chartered Engineer status with a single qualification.
  • In each year of the degree, students will take a number of individual modules, normally valued at 15 or 30 credits, adding up to a total of 120 credits for the year. Modules are assessed in the academic year in which they are taken. The balance of compulsory and optional modules varies from program to program and year to year. A 30-credit module is considered equivalent to 15 credits in the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).
  • The program includes core mathematical, computing, and mechanical engineering subjects. Students will also study business and accountancy.
  • The student will study this program in the context of the Integrated Engineering Programme, giving the candidate the opportunity to:
    • tackle practical engineering challenges throughout your program
    • develop transferable professional skills
    • study and collaborate with students in other engineering disciplines.
