Housing Facilities
The institute offers a range of on-campus housing alternatives to its aspirants given that they apply by August 25 in the year of their intake. Accommodation facilities are offered in the university's 9 residence halls namely Andrew Ure, Birkbeck, Chancellors, Forbes, Carnett, James Goold, Muray, James Young and Thomas Campbell and usually costs between 105 to 137 GBP, per week. This price includes basic facilities like cleaning services, lighting, etc.
The available hostel services have an added benefit of being in close proximity to all the common facilities like classrooms, library, computer labs, sports facilities, among others.
Few residence halls and their common features are as detailed below.
- Andrew Ure Hall:
Hall common to both undergraduate and postgraduate, male and female students. It has a student capacity of 300 at a time. Composed of single rooms in flat to be shared among 4 to 6 candidates.
- Birkbeck hall:
Hall for undergraduates with a student capacity of 384 at a time. SIngle room flats to be shared among 6 candidates. Common to both male and female students.
- James Young Hall:
Graduate students residence halls with a student capacity of nearly 66. SIngle rooms flat to be shared between 4 to 6 candidates.
Note that the accommodation facilities available at the university usually cost between 105 to 137 GBP per week.

Deadlines
Application deadline for the majority of courses available at the institute is January 15, 2020. However, there are certain programs which might follow their individual deadlines and must be checked for before sending in applications.
Note that any applications made to the UCAS after the common deadline but prior to June 30, 2020 are considered on a first-come first-served basis if the availability of space permits.
