Likes
- Great campus with good laboratory and all the modern equipments and machinery are present .
- MIT WPU has many clubs which provide exposure and personality development.
- MIT WPU being a university helps the students to interact with other students of different streams which helps in network building
Dislikes
- Lack of parking facilities with conjusted parking for two wheelers
- Morning college would be preferable, every year the college timings changes
- Staff in MIT WPU often speaks Marathi which creates a language barrier in classrom
Remarks :
Firstly , the college is very close from my home. Secondly, MIT WPU is a deemed University. Thirdly, MIT WPU has one of the best mechanical engineering department with advanced machinery and well maintained labs .
Course Curriculum Overview :
As far as course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness , the course is relevant and very much to the point with appropriate practical knowledge in our lab sessions with very educated faculty members
Internships Opportunities :
Mit wpu offers company visits and factory visits which provides exposure and awareness about the corporate world. It allows us to interact with inspirational buisness leaders and CEO's . College curriculum also includes PBL ( PROJECT BASED LERANING )
Placement Experience :
Placements are offered after graduation. In fourth year , we have to compulsorily spend a semester in internship , which builds a mindset and gives awareness about the corporate system. Companies like Bajaj , Mercedes, TATA , etc
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yearly fees is 315000 Which is divided in two installments 1) 165000 and 2) 150000 The fees is non exponential. Exam fees is included . This year , we paid 60% in first installment, Which makes it 1) 190000 2) 125000 If failed to pay the fees on time . College imposes a fine .
Campus Life :
College life so far has been fun. Mit wpu has many great festivals : 1) RIDE ( RESEARCH INNOVATION DESIGN ENTREPRENEURSHIP) 2) SLDP ( SOCIAL LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM) 3) AAROHAN ( BIGGEST FEST IN FUN )
Faculty :
Exam grades are divided into two categories 1) LCA - Lab Class Assessment 2) CCA- Continuous Class Assessment LCA carries 40% marks CCA carries 60% marks LCA consists of practical knowledge of the subject and write-ups of experiments CCA consists of class assignment, mid sem , and end sem
