Likes
- The campus and teaching facilities are extravagant, with various high tech labs and a huge campus including a beach
- The social life here is very fun with diverse festivals and celebration to biggest fests and many clubs
- The faculty here are very skilled and trained professions with masters or PhD from IIT and other NIT across the country
Dislikes
- There are water shortages during the summers
- Very competitive with the marks and grading
- Most of the hostels are old and not well maintained
Remarks :
Completing my schooling abroad I was inclined over to go abroad for my university, but as India is a better option for learning engineering I chose India. Amongst other NIT, NITK is the best college for mechanical engineering so I chose this college. NITK was my first and only option in India, I had applied to 5 colleges in and got accepted in all with scholarships but I felt India was my best option. I got a seat through dasa Qouta so my cut-off was a larger rank but my fees are higher as well
Course Curriculum Overview :
The interactive lab session that help learn about the core of your subject along with well thought classes including all the important knowledge one needs for their career. There are also additional courses called MLC and NPTEL which can boost your credits as well as help you learn skills for your future. You can also take up minor subjects and get certified graduated with it aswell
Internships Opportunities :
Many companies such as Google, flipcart , tata Internships are available from the third year onwards . The internship can be either 3 months or even 6 if the companies like your work . Avg stipends are from 15-30 k per month .
Placement Experience :
From the 5th semester onwards students have to take up internship in the summer , and can get placed from their internship or from 7th semester placements start Companies such as oracle , Amazon , Google come to our college for placements The packages vary from about 6lakhs to 40 lakh per annum . Almost about 70-75% of the students get on campus placements. Rest mostly persue higher studies
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure for a general student is about 1 lakh per semester, the fees depend as per the qouta seat you get in through . Dasa student have to pay about 4 times the fees where as sc,st students don't have to pay any fees . Scholarship are available for people based on merit as well as back ground
Campus Life :
The college has two amazing feats called engineer and incident , incident is the biggest fest in the whole of south India . The diverse culture and students from across the country and world celebrate all the festivals and traditions togther . The clubs in the college are all student led and there are over 100 clubs. The sports facilities here are wonderful and there are 2 big libraries in the campus
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel rooms have a bed , a cupboard and a study desk for each student . The rooms are thrilled sharing for the first year , double sharing for second year and single rooms for the 3rd and 4th year. The meals in the mess are not so great for the first years but it gets better over the next years. There are food courts and night canteens available around the campus and a delivery app to deliver food right to ur hostel Students also have an option to stay outside campus as day scholars
Faculty :
The faculty are highly educated and skilled professionals , having graduated from the top institutes of the country . The course structure is same for all 14 branches in the first year. The second year each branch dives into their core subjects , 3rd year is internship year and 4th year is for placements . The exams include one final exam, one mid semester and 2 quizzes each sem for every subject

They try their best to get placed for each and every student.But there are some eligibility for sitting into the placement.They give training for placement and highest package offered is 46 lpa and average is around 7 to 8 lpa.

The campus placements are great in college, especially for my course. They offer placements in core and technical companies, such as oracle , Microsoft , Goldman sacks ,etc. they offer great packages and great opportunities aswell

IT is very use full to choose course I feel it is better than other college in tier 2 or 3 colleges I think my course faculty are fully supportive for everyone who need to Learn new things so they really help full

•From 5th and 6th sems students are eligible for campus placement. • 84% students placed in UVCE, highest placements rate is in EEE. •The placement rate is 4% more compared to last year. •The UVCE authorities said the highest package offered is Rs 26.5 lakh per annum. A student, Subramanya, has received an offer from an America-based Cloud Security company. •In the 2023 batch, the highest package offered was Rs 53 lakh per annum. •Of the eligible 436 students, 354 students have got the offers.

Placement Experience :
At the end of 6th semester the placements are held. There are many reputed companies which visit our college since i am from mechanical branch i would like to tell you the companies that visits to our branch some of them include Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd, L and T, Tata consultancy, Mercedes and Benz, Schneider, Alstom and other many companies. Till now the Schneider company has offered the highest package to a student of our branch which is 12 LPA. The Average package is 6 LPA and the lowest would be 3 or 2 LPA which varies every year. 68% of mechanical department students have secured placements. After getting the degree I want to secure a good package and start working in that company and to grow well.
