Good College Campus and Infrastructure

- The very first thing I liked about the college is interactions with other students and enviornment of our college campus. Everyone out there will help you in every possible aspects so this attracted me more towards this college.
- As I heard about the education quality of the college, that totally satisfies me. I mean to say that the faculties have good knowledge and teaches us in a better way.
- The college infrastructure is also very good like library are present, different departments are there (for ncc, nss, dancing, singing etc), canteens are there, sports ground are there.
Dislikes
- I am very much disappointed with the college elections because there are very busy interactions at that time and college campus is overcrowded.
- There are problems with drinking water facilities in summers as most water coolers don't have waters or if water is available it will not be cold.
- There is not a specific subject for personal development or communication skills in every course so a student could face some problems in his/her future.
Remarks :
I have applied for BCA course in this college (DAVC chandigarh) but I got selected in SGGS college chandigarh, As I didn't want to take admission in sggs college due to future perspectives so I took admission in davc college in bsc computer science. Also when I selected in sggs college, there is a criteria to pay the fees of 1 year with admission fee in 24 hrs to confirm the admission. So due to some reasons I didn't get admission in the college. Admission process in our college is quite simple i.e, you have to apply online for admission and based on your merit you will get the admission but the Cut-off for this college is high means your score in higher classes should be more.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choosed bsc computer science because I didn't get BCA course in my desired college (current college) As This course also includes the computers knowledge so I opted for this course. After doing this course I can work in IT sector and also eligible for many govt. Exams as this course includes the studies of physics, mathematics, english etc. Which is included in many govt. Exams In a semester, we have to give Mst's in 3rd month and in 6th months we have to give final exam. Difficulty level is more in maths and physics subject so student have to study regularly.
Internships Opportunities :
Several companies hires us like wipro, Tech mahindra, IBM etc for internships programmes under the job role of software tester, web developer, API researcher... And the stipend you can expect is 15000-16000 monthly during the internship. And this information I got from my seniors.... Web developing, c++ , java, python related projects are given to us to prepare for industry level.
Placement Experience :
Students can be eligible for placements from 5th semester onwards depending upon his/her knowledge. There is a department provided for regular seminars and discussions related with placements. As I am in my 2nd year so I don't have accurate data about the companies or recruiters but Knows about the placements opportunities. When the recruiters comes to our college then they firstly hires bca students (related to our course) and then bsc cs students. If student doesn't get campus placement then he/she can apply in other intern companies which have tie-ups with our college.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I paid 28000 in 1st year and same in my 2nd year but with late fees of 2000 rupees. Total tuition fees of my course is approx 81000 which have to paid per year. Every year admission fees should be paid which is 850 rupees and 3000 rupees is examination charges in every semester. Also there is late fees which is paid after a specific date. Total tuition fees is increased as compare to previous years. For EWS students, there is 10? of concession for all There is diff. Scholarships are available which is provided by college like sc/st scholarship, defence, sports quota etc.
Campus Life :
There are many annual and technical events are organised in our college. 'Karvaan' is the mega fest which is organised annually and there are some technicals fests like web designing competition, bug hunting, typing test etc. Which helds in a month or 2 months. All types of books are provided in the library for all the courses and students can take the books anytime. Classrooms are simple i.e, there are fans are provided and benches etc. There are not any cctv camera, ac or projectors etc. Sports facilities are very impressive means all types of sports you can play and take part at college level which will benefit you in every aspects.
Faculty :
There is diff teachers who teaches all the subjects and faculty to student is ratio is 1 which is common almost in all colleges. Faculties are helpful and supportive but if you will attend classes regular. All the faculties are good and there is not a special or bad criteria for any of them but in some cases there is some exception like, a teacher can be rude sometimes. Two exams are helds by college in every semseter (1 is Mst's and 2 is final exam). And difficulty level depends upon students knowledge. In my class nearly 30? students failed to clear the exam and not promoted to next year.

Course Curriculum Overview :
Computer science curriculum had more theory part of coding. 1st year had C programing Along with C++ in 2nd year. There is a lot to learn in this degree also. We focus more on theoretical part rather than object oriented programming. More focus can be made on improving computer labs Difficult level of exams is moderate to difficult.

This course is an inspiration for me to be a better doctor who can help people as much as I can. This course tells me many things like why we need to avoid harmful radiation and how to avoid them. We can make people aware of radiation who don't know the harm of radiation. We need improvement in our radiology labs. It is not fully equipped. We have then semester exam and they are difficult but not out of syllabus. They are very lengthy.

Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is relevant it includes subjects like national health delivery system, medical record , biomedical waste management which gives us basic information about what to do or not to do. The curriculum prepares us by teaching subjects like Anatomy, physiology, biochemistry , hematology etc. And applied the same on patients in hospital helps a lot. Improvements is that if the syllabus is too much then it is divided in next semester also like Anatomy is a vast subject it should be divided into at least two semesters. Exams are ten in first semester and then four in second semester. Tyming of exams vary with the subjects . Difficulty level also varies along with the subjects.

Everything is good, campus is also good and there are 2 canteens one is good one need to improve one . Arts department and commerce department the classroom are to awesome but science department class rooms are shorter and shortest of fans as well this should be improved
