Actually , I applied to many colleges but as my rank was not that good, I had two options JUIT solan and GGSIPU, I chose GGSIPU as it is government and moreover situated in the heartland of delhi thus, giving more exposure
As I have already said earlier that course content is not very relevant and needs to be upgaraded along with the industry standards. I think more focus should be laid on Industry feel and appliction learning and theory must be left behind. I think exams should take place only 2 times rather than 3. Moroever , the marking scheme should also be changed.
In my university for my course, the fee for my year was 1,50,000 Rupees but it has increased by 27,000 this year. University fees is 20000 College fees is 100000 Rest is the lab fee, alumni fund, library fund etc. The fees of rest of my batchmates is also same, it does not depend on category. However, Scholarship is provided to EWS students by Delhi government. Sikh Minority Scholarship is aslo available.

However, sports culture is kot that good and teachersare not that supportive but annual sports meet takes place in NOVEMBER. There are many clubs like Dramtic, music dance , technical societies like IEEE, SWAAS etc
The faculty to student ratio is 1:50. The faculties are well qualified and approachable too. Applied department and IT department not only provide academic support but also provide emotional support and motivation when needed. Semester is usually of 4-5 months while classes only for 60 days and exams are held 3 times, sessional I, II and End Semester exams. 40 marks are internal and rest 60 are externals based on End semester
There are placements available in VIPS-TC. The average package is 4-5 LPA and the highest are around 14-15 LPA. The placements start around 7th semester along with opportunities for internships. I plan to pursue MBA along with a job.
The relevance of my course in present scenario is awesome. The it industry demands engineer in their company. But if you will rely on college studies then you will not be able to compete others . So try to explore new things yourself
The curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with practical knowledge students typically study core engineering subject in the first two yearsfollowed by more specialization course in their chosen field
The curriculum covers all fundamental topics which are crucial for a solid foundation in this course for eg; Analog and Digital electronics, communication systems, Signal Processing, etc. The curriculum integrates lab sessions and projects which may help in applying theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. Internship and Projects prepares us for the job market by providing exposure to real-world problems. Exams are held two times a semester, 1st is mid-semester and 2nd is the end sems. you get a lot of time for prep as they are held 1.5-2 months in between. Difficulty level is moderate. You can prepare 1-2 weeks before the exam.
Placement opportunities are quite decent. Currently due to recession there is a dip in placement but overall it's nice. The average package is around 700000 and the placement rate is also quite good. Decent number of companies visit the college
