I actually wanted to goto College of Engineering, Trivandrum. I didn't get allotment to the same. But this college was my second choice. I was alloted to this college by cee, Kerala. I had given CET, GEC and MAC.
The curriculum is very relevant and very much well prepared. I think this will train me well to go into the competitive marketplace. This is very much made for the competitive world. We have proffessional ethics and universal human values that help me keep my values in proffessional environments.
Internship is provided by many companies in this college. A well known one is plasmid. Many people have enrolled in that. I had done an AI project. This project had an outcome of making me understand supervised learning.
The placement condition here is pretty average. The average package is 5 LPA. Last year we had the highest placements which is 34 LPA. I want to perceive higher education after my B Tech. I have heard that we have Oracle, Cognizant, Amazon etc.
The year wise fee I'm paying is 6000. Over this I am paying for my hostel 72000 per year with additional charges for my hostel. Some people here have got scholarships due to low income. They pay 3000 for tuition fees.
We have an annual Techno-Cultural Fest called Hestia. We also have another fest know as ATHENA. We have many clubs called like the Coding Club, IEEE club, ISTE club, etc. We have many books and journals in our College Library. We have latest tech in our Computer labs including 3D printers, Laser Cutters, Circuit printers etc. We have a large football ground, a volleyball court, Tennis Court, Indoor Badminton Court.
We have 4 hostels. Trust hostel houses only first years. The facilities are mediocre. Then we have Annex Hostel. This houses second years. It has mediocre facilities. Then we have Golden Jubilee Hostel. This hostel is for 3rd and 4th hostel. This is the hostel with best facilities. Then we have International hostel which can be used by all years. This hostel has good facilities. The food is pretty good.
The faculty student ratio is very convenient to students. It is very effective. The faculty is very much qualified and are experienced to clear students doubts. We have an option to consult whenever we want.
Placements happen in last semester of college. All students as of the current 2020 batch have a mandatory bond of 3 years to serve in ISRO organisations. From 2021 batch onwards, all companies are allowed to recruit from campus and there is no mandatory bond. companies visited include: ISRO DRDO HAL Mercedes benz Intel HP Skyroot Aerospace Garuda Aerospace etc. I plan to join DRDO as Scientist-C after completion of my degree
My college has one of the best placements in my state. In 2022, they had the most placements and many number of students got placed with good salary. My college was also one of the 7 colleges in Kerala to be selected by TCS for placement. Overall I think my college has got good placement status.
Students become eligible after 3rd year for campus selection around 10-15 companies are there in fisat for electrical departments . Out of 60 around 30 get placed every year the core companies which come are very less last year only 1 student got placed only Infocys, ibm, tata, uts global ets are companies which come to our college every year for placement The highest package over here starts from 5lakhs every year only few students get placed in core companies In EEE only 60 percentage of students get placed and rest 40 doesnt get placements they doesnt get placed due to backlogs and all. My plans after the degree are i would like to take further education in canada and all most of the people go outside the country for further education
