In ojee counseling i had taken cet, vssut, silicon, and igit. In cet which is now outr i didn't get the branch which I wanted due to less jee percentile. In vssut and igit i was kind of getting the branch i wanted but my parents were not agreeing to send me out of state or out of district. And other than all these colleges i had options of kiit, iter(soa), and cv raman iter and cv raman were actually a bit far from my home and daily travel would have been very hectic. Kiits fees structure is too much all though my father was very interested for my admission in kiit but who tf would give 4 lakhs for engineering or btech course. So after too much pondering and thoughts i was left with silicon.
Actually the silicon has one of the better CSE course curriculum if compared to others. The curriculum prepares the students fairly for real world applications or further academic pursuits. I feel that The frequency of the exams is actually hasty and can be delayed a bit but all the other colleges are the same so it's ok.
There are actually internships happening from the first year but its actually a non paid internship where we will just get to learn and gain experience of the overall real world work experience amd there are many internship opportunities.
The campus placement is actually not very good. The students at the fourth year are eligible for campus placements. There are wipro, flipkart, tcs..... Etc. Highest package 33lpa, lowest package 3.5lpa average package 6-7lpa.
Year wise fees that i paid is 175000/- yr and mostly there is not much scholarship facilities but if you are sc/st or obc that depends on the caste and all you'd have to talk to accounting section incharge. The fees i mentioned above is the tuition fees and but if we add all the other expenses like caution fees, exam fees and all it comes together to like 185000/- yr. There is no increase in the fees as you get promoted the fees remains same yearly and for all the courses of B-TECH the fees remains same.
The overall experience with my campus is actually good and there are ample opportunity for club activities there is a free library which is open from morning 9am - 9pm. And many books are available there. And there are many sports and extracurricular activities happening in the campus.
The college faculty all together are very supportive and are very good while considering studies and the teachers here push their students forward unlike most colleges where teachers don't care. And mostly the exams are conducted exactly like how the other colleges conduct their exam. The exams are fairly difficult in my perspective.
At 7th semester,4th year students get placements and some of they are eligible from 4th year...there is a lot of companies visited every year for all branches respectively... highest package is 15lakh per annum and average package is 8lakh as per company...75% or 7.5sgpa is required...i will go for a job and do job after degree..
Last year we had a placement of 75 percent overall and 100 percent placement was there for my branch overall a wide range of companies come to interview students and selects the most skilled amog them the highest package gone was something around 54lpa and avg is of 5lpa.
From 7th semesters students are eligible for campus placements , Wipro , TCS, Cogizant, Google , Microsoft , Accenture etc are the companies regularly visiting in the university. An average of more than 90% students gets placed every year.
Campus placement is one of the most important aspects of college admissions in India. It is common for a college to claim that they provide 100% placement assistance and that you will be guaranteed a job by the end of your course. Any student and their parents would jump at the prospect of their child being guaranteed employment in an MNC even before completing the program. This assurance of campus placements is strong enough to entice a student to enroll in college.
