I have applied for government college too and I have got my sit also at gec bhabanipatna and gec keonjhar and parla maharaja berhampur...but it's fair away from us to go and study and every day attend the classes there ...and NIST is good and near from our place and it's well college..
I have did diploma engineering in electrical so i choose EEE branch at NIST.. because I know about it very much because I have studied..it helps us for further jobs or further studies for or placements for it helps and it have goal..
There are more companies is acceptable for internship if we have did ... basically if anyone did specific internship for specific companies they will qualify for that company with an exam or etc with for company jobs...and in 4th year 8th semester u can do projects for available for companies under to get job and opportunities..
At 7th semester,4th year students get placements and some of they are eligible from 4th year...there is a lot of companies visited every year for all branches respectively... highest package is 15lakh per annum and average package is 8lakh as per company...75% or 7.5sgpa is required...i will go for a job and do job after degree..
Per year 165000 paying for fees for new NIST university...it's increased after became new NIST University... registration fees is 2500/- for exams, lab fees nothing ... scholarship amount is 70000 per year for sc st OBC...and 40000 for general..there is a lot types of scholarships..
There is lot of technical festivals is happening here... there are foundation day , orientation day for new year students and induction day for them and club activities and annual function sankalp in march ..there is 4000 books in library u can study...
Faculty to students ratio is managed good and relationship between students teacher is mediumly good and friendly some times too.. there is a lot of good faculties too ...some are strict faculties in 1st year and 3ed year and some subjects teachers too but overally good for us ..
