I applied in VIT Vellore and Srm Chennai and got confirmed admission. I took this college because my relatives and friends passed out from here and they recommended this college. The other colleges I applied to were in South India and they were pretty far from my hometown(Kolkata) and I wanted some college closer to my home so I choose Kiit cause its in Bhubaneshwar. I sat in kiitee entrance exam and got admission in cse with a percentile of 77. The eligibilty was 60% in PCM in 10+2.
Since coding and AI the new world, that inspired me to take CSE as my career. The curriculum provides all the knowledge required to improve your skills but it mostly depends on you and your practice at home. Some teachers teach really boring so they cannot properly convey their knowledge to the students. Exams are of 2.5-3 hours in endsems and 1.5 hrs in midsems.
At Kiit university, several companies offer interships with stipends, here are some examples: TCS( Tata Consultancy Services) Infosys Wipro Cognizant Delloite HCL Technologies The projects and outcomes include using UI/UX and applying coding to use in the real world. U will get a certificate once you complete the internships which will help you to placements in the near future.
Students become eligible for campus placements after the 6th sem. Some companies visited are Bain & Co., KPMG, JP Morgan Chase, CISCO, Dell Technologies, SBI cards, WIPRO, etc. Highest package in 2024 campus placements was 63LPA and avg package was 7LPA for CSE. 90% students get placed according to college but in reality it was lesser(around 40-50%). My plans after getting the degree is to go to Germany for further studies.
The fees structure for kiit cse per year is: Tuition Fees: 192000*2 = 384000 Caution Fees = 10000 Registration Fees = 75000 If u avail hostel facilities then here are the following hostel packages per year(sem*2 = year): 3 bed non ac: 28000*2 = 56000 2 bed non ac: 40000*2 = 80000 3 bed ac : 50000*2 = 100000 2 bed ac : 60000*2 = 120000 3 bed ac premium(has private washroom and balcony facilities): 60000*2 = 120000 2 bed ac premium = 70000*2 = 140000 The other batches like IT, CSSE, ETC, EEE , Mechanical, also have the same fees structure. The annual festivals include Holi, Diwali, etc which are celebrated massively in campuses . There will be special food in hostel mess which is better than normal hostel food. Freshers will have a freshers cermony after 2-3 months mainly during sep-oct. The Central Library of Kiit is huge and it has 7 floors. The collection of books, journals, magazines, etc over there are more than sufficient. Classrooms are provided with a smart board tv, blackboard, projector, and all classrooms in kiit are air conditioned. Sports facilities are also massive. Cricket, football, badminton, volleyball all have seperate fields. There is a indoor and outdoor stadium in kiit. Also every campus has plenty of playground and gyms. There are a lot of clubs in KIIT. There are a huge no. of coding clubs like IOT,GFG, etc. There are music clubs, dance clubs, fashion clubs(KZARSHIAN).
3 bedded rooms ac or non ac are provided with a chair, table, cupboard, 2 fans, 3 beds. Premium rooms have private washroom and balcony facilities. However the facilities provided in rooms vary from hostel to hostel. meal quality in mess is really poor but that too varies from hostel to hostel. Premium hostels have slightly better food quality. Hostel prices are given below: 3 bed non ac: 28000 2 bed non ac: 40000 3 bed ac: 50000 2 bed ac: 60000 3 bed ac premium: 60000 2 bed ac premium: 70000 *The prices writen above are given per semister. Most people go to rent flats or pgs from second year onwards. They are found mostly in Prasanti Vihar. Rents on Kiit road may be hard to find and a little too expensive.
The faculty to student ratio is 1:80; every student will get a mentor and the mentor will help you in any problems you are facing in college be it academics or something else. The Data Structure and Algoritm(DSA) faculty is pretty good in kiit. Some faculty members might not be friendly and may give less marks in exams but that depends on the sections you are selecting in second year so choose wisely. First year faculty is a matter of luck. There are 2 exams per semister : mid-sem and end-sem. mid sem consists of 20 marks and end sem of 50. assignments quiz critical thinking comprises of 10 marks each. There are credits per subject and each subject has 100 marks. Credits are multiplied with 100. for ex: math has 4 credits so it comprises 400 marks. Exams are easy very rarely difficult. Very few students get failed in their exams.
The course curriculum is comprehensive and provides a strong foundation in both theoretical concepts and practical knowledge. It covers the core subjects required for academic and professional growth while preparing students for higher education and industry opportunities. Regular assignments, practical sessions, and semester examinations help evaluate students effectively. The examination pattern is well-structured, and the difficulty level is moderate for students who attend classes consistently. However, the curriculum could be further improved by incorporating more industry-oriented topics, practical projects, internships, and emerging technologies. Overall, the course is relevant, well-designed, and offers a good balance between academic learning and skill development
How would you rate the course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness? Please consider including: Specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced your decision to choose this course How well the curriculum prepares you for real-world applications or further academic pursuits Suggest the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods The frequency and timing of exams along with your perspective on their difficulty level
Last year we had a placement of 75 percent overall and 100 percent placement was there for my branch overall a wide range of companies come to interview students and selects the most skilled amog them the highest package gone was something around 54lpa and avg is of 5lpa.
Generally the placement star for ending of 7th semester. The students are mainly placed in different companies for the basis of the skill. My plan is after degree is get a job from college placement and another dream is work for TCS company.
In our college all the exam are very very strict and also teacher are supporting the students for study our exam timeing are very well Our exam finish between 3 hours Our exams are very frequently host by HOD
The course structure is average.the collage did not able to cover the whole syllabus for the semester exams . students face many problems during the semester exams due to poor syllabus cover by the college.
The fee policy was very strong for study in this University, in a semester you have to complete half of your payment from full payment. The college fees for BTech CSE 1st year 1,50,000 and examination fees 23,000. It's all about college fees and academic fees . There are regular class like 7 to 8 hour class. All types of scholarship available like , Technical and professional, e -medhabruti, prerana etc. The faculty and the staff of this University are very fair for his work very sensible for his job
The student can sit for interships from 3rd years and by the mid of 4th year companies come for on campus placement and to be honest kiit has a better annual package than maximum private college in India . The big four companies, Wipro , TCS , HDL, Amazon , etc are the prime companies coming here and recruiting almost 75% students here . The rest 25% either goes for out campus placements and fee for MBA
From 7th semesters students are eligible for campus placements , Wipro , TCS, Cogizant, Google , Microsoft , Accenture etc are the companies regularly visiting in the university. An average of more than 90% students gets placed every year.
