- Very big campus so we need to walk very much and on hot days it's trouble
Remarks :
I applied to VIT, Bits Pilani and other government colleges. I chose kiit because it's both good for studies as well as infrastructure is also good. Also KIIT IS near my home as well and also its very famous. For admission kiit takes into consideration either jee mains marks or KIITEE marks. Students generally prefer KIITEE
Course Curriculum Overview :
Very good syllabus. Designed to teach us everything needed for getting good jobs. It is generally regarded as comprehensive and relevant. It covers fundamental areas like algorithms, data structures, operating systems, and programming languages, with opportunities to delve into emerging technologies like AI and cybersecurity. The inclusion of projects and practical work enhances its relevance to current industry needs
Internships Opportunities :
Internships are often available with prominent tech firms such as Google, Microsoft, IBM, and TCS. Roles can include Software Development Intern, Data Analyst Intern, and Systems Engineer Intern.Various startups offer internships in areas like software development, business analysis, and product management. Many internships offer stipends ranging from INR 10,000 to INR 30,000 per month, depending on the company and role. High-profile companies or specialized roles might offer higher stipends.
Placement Experience :
CSE students typically become eligible for campus placements from their 6th semester. Major companies include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, IBM, and various startups. The number of offers varies each year but generally runs into the hundreds. The highest packages can exceed INR 30 lakhs per annum, with average packages around INR 6-8 lakhs per annum. More than 90 percent get placed every year. I want to do a job for few years before going for higher education
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
192500 tuition fees, registration fee one time 75000 for laptop and other things. Scholarships and grants of 10000 rs for people with excellent results in KIITEE. There are also other fees like hostel 40000, mess 22500 and more
Campus Life :
KIIT hosts several annual events including "KIIT Fest" (usually held in January). Technovation" is another significant technical festival focusing on innovations and tech challenges.Several student-run groups and clubs are active on campus, such as the KIIT Student's Union, various technical and cultural clubs, and special interest groups. Hostel Facilities :
Hostel is decent. Food is bad for first years. But from 2nd year it's very good. Hostels typically provide basic amenities like a bed, study table, chair, and cupboard. Rooms are usually shared with one or more students, and there’s internet access, laundry facilities, and common areas for socializing and studying. Hostel registration is usually done through the KIIT website or during the admission process. Fees vary depending on the type of accommodation
Faculty :
There are many faculty. Faculty are world class. A few are bad but most are very good. Teachers are very friendly and helpful. There are two major exams , one midsems and one endsem. Midsems is 20 marks, endsem is 50 marks.
