Likes
- College staffs are very experienced and dedicated. They are really supportive in studies and works with students for all their needs. They also provide a safe environment for mistakes and corrections.
- Specimen and equipments an well maintained. Labs are of good quality. Specimen such as cadaver are enough to contain 150 students.
Dislikes
- It has a bad infrastructure. Small college building with less recreational facilities.
- It doesn't support extra curricular activities. Sports and games doesn't get their needed attention. It has an average badminton court and a bad football ground.
- Hostel food and facilities are very poor. And a strict curfew for women's hostel makes things worse.
Remarks :
I got this college in Kerala medical counselling. There are better college than SUTAMS like Sree Gokulam, Etc. admission was purely based on merit through counselling. Students have to appear for neet ug for admission. AIR of less than 1 lakh can have hope.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Mbbs curriculum was recently renewed by nmc. It is now based on skill based learning. Our college follows tha same. Curriculum is strict and bulky with a very small academic year. This is really stressful. Oru first year was over in just 9 months. This produced a lot of stress among us students.
Internships Opportunities :
After 4 and half year course one year of internship is provided which is compulsory. House surgeon has a stipend of 10k. Senior doctors are really helpful and supportive. House surgeons also has opportunity for studying for neet pg .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I was obc student. My total tution fee was ?6,69,440 for first year. It has a 7% increase per year. Hostel fee was 1,14,200. Books cost 16,000. Special fee was 70,000. Students with ST/SC reservation has mininal fees within 10,000. Extra fund is given to college union. Academically college is very competitive. It ranked first places in many intercollege quiz programmes. Our results for University exams are also outstanding reaching upto 100% pass for 4th years. It provides all facilities for learning. Specimen and lab apparatus are plenty and in good condition. Our professors are dedicated and very experienced. College campus is the main drawback. Small campus with not pleasing infrastructure. It doesn't has good court oru ground for encouraging sports. Hostel food is bad to worse. And women's hostel has a curfew from 6:00pm. It has a secure environment. Since it is situated 16km from main city it has it's limitations.
Campus Life :
There are Many student run clubs. But since the curriculum is so tight there is less time for extra curricular activities. Only 10% from each batch participates for sports. It has a large library with Medical guides and books. Oru college participates in intermedicos, and such festivals and gas high ranking among them
Hostel Facilities :
There is 24 hr water and electricity. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and evening snack are provided. But food is worst. Mostly not edible even after repeated complaints. Better opt for pg. Men's hostel doesn't have strict curfew. Women's hostel has 6;00 pm curfew and no food delivery is allowed after 6
Faculty :
College conducts regular exams which is a major pro when approaching university exams. They also conduct regular practical exams. So there is always practice and learning. Our faculties are very experienced. Professors are very supportive and caring.

Course Curriculum Overview :
This course is as tough as it sounds and requires a lot of patience and hard work. Do not keep expectations for quick results in academics as this might end up with you getting disheartened over the less scores at first.
