Dislikes
- Security could be more strict. They are little ill cautious about students
- Girls wear too short clothes and are to fashionists which should not allowed in college as it is a place of study
- Some proff. Are little to careless for students as they dont explain stuffs briefly. And ignore doubts
Remarks :
I had applied in DU but couldnt make it because it is far away than my residense and I want to live with my parents . Also applied in LD arts in Ahmedabad but the psychology course was full. And I didnt any vacant place there so I went to xaviers and it us very infamous college in whole Gujarat. People come and get admit here from various nice colleges. As we get a proud feeling by only saing that " we have studied in xaviers. So here the ambience and facilities are excellent. So we have to first fillup an online form and then after getting emailed one can get directly to the college office by taking the hardcopy of that online application form. Then they will admit us. Mostly BA student choose the psychology cource here. And after admission we are very facinated about our college and its beat courses and subjects
Course Curriculum Overview :
First of all , psychology is my favourite subject as it is very unique and abstract subject as it is about understanding the human mind and behaviours and about abnormal behaviours which is very facinating and interesting. I like clinical psychology and I want to become a councellor. And our curriculum for this purpose is very useful and accurate and will surely help me to reach my goals. As their are various practical researches and surways accordingly. Which is very useful in real life circumstances. But also we get so much theoratical works like assigments and presentations which I personally dont like I think the portion of it should be decreased for better. And the exams of here are quite harder than other colleges in uni. Thus, majorly all is good
Internships Opportunities :
I have not done internship yet but from our seniors, I can tell that they had done various internships in like hospitals like astha and LG for analyzing the patients disease and for take their care and also for counselling them. And we will also do this stuffs in our comimg days and will gain real life experience and also get licenced for it afterwards . So it is very useful
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
My yearly fees for the course of BA (psychology) is Rs.60000( including all other charges) . My bachmates of other categories are also paying nearly Rs.65000 for their courses like BCA, BSC. Students with merits do not get any financial aid from college. But Christian student get do financial aid in college. And also their is high population of christian students in our college . Our college is very good for studying psychology course. And also it is autonomous and self financed. So we will surely get placement after our pg course. We have very high intellactual professors . Also their are professors who have studied in our college and also got placement as a proff. In our college.Our college also celebrates each and every festival very gracefully and they also keep the student anthusiast towards their study.our college is also from one of the most known college in ahmedabad. Campus Life :
As the college is majorly christian populate so christmas is the most celebrated festival here but also other festivals like garba and diwali festival is also celebrated in our college. We also get mini vacations of 10 days in christmas . We have various course related books and journals in our library. We have big theatre like t.v in our rooms to explain any thing virtually. In sports, we also do have competitions with other colleges of football and kabaddis and also practiced in college hours. We also have clubs like theatre, adventure, language etc for practical refreshments and for our extra knowledges
Faculty :
The practical activities like for research and theatres faculties are the best like the manoj sir and the beatrice mam and also our dean of College Father David is so cool as they let us to go out for our subjects like psychological research and theatre dramas. Theay are very cool-minded and friendly professors. But our head of psychology department is very aggressive and strict and always gives us had the stuff to do . She also scolds if we not attend any of college organise workshop class. And also our vac subject teacher is very aggressive vijay sir. He scolds students if only they are 2 mins late for the class. Thus, majorly our faculty is very nice and helps us in stuffs and also behaves very kindly so we have got nice faculties here. We have 2 papers for major and 1 papers for other minor subjects.
