Likes
- Faculty is very highly qualified helpful all have done Phds from top IITs
- I liked the beauty of the campus it is covered by the mountains which makes it a scenic spot in winters it looks even more beautiful
- Faculties help u in getting internships,placements and also at emotional level
Dislikes
- Campus is quite small only compare to other nits only 67 acres that didnt please me much
- Although no restrictions are imposed but if protests are going out outside u won't be allowed to go out of campus but nowadays we rarely get to see protests
- Placements particularly in lower branches is not that good around 10lpa
Remarks :
I applied several top nits like nit trichy warangal and many more I got admission in bit mesra and pec Chandigarh but I chose nit srinagar bciz it's an nit it has different aura and after studying for 1 year I find my decision correct. I got a rejection in other colleges bcoz their cutoff was so high so I couldn't make it. Admission process of my college is same like any other nit college in India. After I got ur seat by jossa u have to go to the college website there they will tell u when to come for admission upon reaching the college they will verify ur documents then they will allot u hostel that's it ur journey at college begins.
Course Curriculum Overview :
There is no particular reason as such for choosing this course according to my marks in jee mains I was getting this course so I took it Since civil is all about ground work from 2nd year real world applications are taught by taking the students outside where bridges and roads being constructed and many more.. Theory classes are quite impressive but practical classes are not at par they should make some improvement. In every semester 2 exams are conducted one is midsem and the other endsem mostly they are conducted after 2 months.
Internships Opportunities :
Being in nit has so many perks and one of those is internship opportunities college and faculty members helped me in getting internship so one should really not worry about internships here I am sharing an approximate internship chart L&T-10000PM TCS -12000PM VIPRO-9000PM IOCL-9500PM
Placement Experience :
From 7th sem students become eligible for placements Companies which recruit from civil: L&T-85 IOCL-45 VIPRO-80 TCS-73 HCC-58 These all are campus placements Highest package-19.8lpa Average package-19Lpa Almost 80%students got placed

Campus Life :
Tel types of festivals are conducted Annual-cultural fest(Rang-e-chinar) mostly held in oct-nov Technical fest(Techvaganza) mostly held in Apr-May Our college has a huge library consisting of all types of books Facilities in classes are top notch smart boards are installed in each and every class room For summers ACs are installed for winters heaters are installed All types of sports are promoted but since it's India definitely cricket is given little more importance But grounds are there for all types of sports even coaches are there for all types of sports Numerous clubs are run by students such as coding clubs cultural clubs dance clubs everything....
Hostel Facilities :
In one room 6 students will be there 4 almirahs 4 tables Mess menu is quite impressive and u can make changes according to u by majority through mess representatives(which will be a student among us) Meal quality is good but not that great but overall it's ok ok
Faculty :
Faculty to student ratio is 60 students per teacher now it is upto students to decide whether it is good or not Per semester two exams are conducted one midsem and one endsem Exams r not that difficult u can pass easily if study sincerely All teaches were good there was no teacher which I didn't like

experience at iit jammu
Placement Experience :
There is about 35% students placed . around 230 job offers . everage package :- 17.6 LPA highest package :- 53LPA i qm thinking to go abroar for my higher studies. this year microsoft has offered internship in our college .. i am trying for the same .
Apnaa college
Placement Experience :
If you are 7th or 8th semester then you can eligible for campus placements. For placement many company visited in IIT Jammu like Infosys,TCS, Paytm, Amazon , Samson. Highest package at IIT Jammu is 53 LPA , and average package at IIT Jammu is 17.6 LPA . Placement percentage is 85% students get placed. After getting degree i will get placed and doing my work.
