- There is considerable amount of greenery in the campus.

- The WiFi and AC Facilities in the hostels.
Remarks :
For getting into IIT ROPAR, the only way is to crack JEE Advanced examination. For getting into CSE department of IIT ROPAR, generally you have to secure an all India rank between 1000 and 2000. Prior to JEE Advanced examination you have to first qualify JEE Mains examination.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The courses are very relevant to computer science and engineering. In the first year we had Introduction to Computing and Discrete Mathematics. In the second year we have to study Data Structures and Algorithms which is very important for learning various computational algorithms.
Internships Opportunities :
There is a separate internship drive in which companies come and recruit students after several interview and coding rounds. This helps the students to upskill themselves for entering into the corporate world.
Placement Experience :
The placement season of IIT Ropar begins in the first semester of the final year. Many companies visit the campus of IIT Ropar and recruit students under good packages. The companies include Google, Oracle, Microsoft, Arista Networks and many more.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I come under the category of general and annual parental income above 5 lakhs. So I have to pay Rs 114350 per semester excluding the mess fees. There are various fee waivers for various categories and economically weaker students.
Campus Life :
The campus life is very pleasant and lively. There are multiple college fests which allows students to soothe a little in between their academic life. The fests are Advitya-Technical Fest , Aarohan-Sports Fest, Zeitgeist-Cultural Fest.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel rooms are good except there is a lack of proper air conditioning. The Mess food is also quite good. Also, there are multiple messes to accommodate large number of students with ease. The mess and the academic buildings are well air conditioned.
Faculty :
The faculty members are extremely experienced and dedicated. They all have advanced degrees in their respective fields . Most of the professors have dual Phd degrees. They help the students and also collaborate with students to work on projects

Placement Experience :
Placement of this year was quite good having 22.3 Lakhs per annum and for CSE it was probably 30lpa and internship opportunities are also very good as selected candidates will have 100% chance of getting internship in the 7th semester either for 2 month or 6 month.
Honest Review for IIT Ropar.
Placement Experience :
Placements are offered in the 8th semester, i.e 4th year. The placement record if IIT Ropar is really good with always-increasing graph each year. The placements of core branches like Civil are not as good as CSE but they are satisfactory.
