Having friends in XIMB, I can assure you that XIMB is a better college than NMIMS. We can further compare both the institutes based on these categories.

1. Location: The NMIMS is situated at an excellent location in Mumbai, where all the top companies come for campus placement. While XIMB's location is not apt as per the company campus placement. 
2. Admission Process: NMIMS admits students on the basis of NMAT score. For CDPI, you have to come to Mumbai, and also you have to submit your personal documents in Mumbai Campus itself. XIMB admits students on CAT, XAT, GMAT, NMAT scores. Students have to pay for each program, HR, SM, RM, BM, etc. Students can choose the nearest city for WAT-PI. 
3. Fees: NMIMS fees is around INR 18 Lakh adding INR 3 lakhs for hostel fees, excluding mess fees. Thus, it has a higher tuition fee. While XIMB total fees including hostel and mess are around INR 20 Lakhs. 
4. Infrastructure: NMIMS infrastructure is not good. It also lacks a proper sports facility and conducts its sports events in other complexes. While the XIMB has good infrastructure and sports facilities, including a football field, basketball court, lawn tennis, and more.
5. Campus: Students might not enjoy their campus in NMIMS. As its hostel has located a distance from the campus. Neither the surrounding of campus is attractive. The campus of XIMB has its hostel inside the campus. So students can enjoy extracurricular and events. 
6. Placements: The average package for NMIMS is 18.33 LPA while for XIMB is 15.42 LPA. The highest package received at NMIMS is 38.57 LPA, while for XIMB, it was recorded to be 26 LPA.

Therefore, seeing the given details, you must choose XIMB over NMIMS. As it has good infrastructure, campus life, and low fees as compared to NMIMS.
