Which is better, HBTI Kanpur (the best college of UPTU), NIT (any) or the IIIT (any)?
Posted On - Mar 23, 2021You should prefer HBIT Kanpur, if you aren’t getting the top 10 NITs, IIIT Hyderabad or IIIT Allahabad. HBIT offers great academics and has an impressive placement record. Each year many reputed companies such as ITC, HSBC, Berger Paints, Dabur, Finserv, etc. take part in the campus placement of the institute. HBTU placements in 2021 had an average CTC of INR 6.46 LPA, while the highest CTC offered was INR 43.5 LPA.
If you get into any of the top IIITs or NITs then you should not opt for HBTI Kanpur. College is a place that gives you recognition, not only for the 4 years but throughout your life. People from top colleges like IIITs and NITs always get praised by people. It is also very important to choose the right branch because ultimately that will matter the most and will give your career a push forward.

A student must only consider HBTU after all his/her options have been exhausted including the top-10 NITs, IIIT Hyderabad (which is the best in the country for CS and IT) and IIIT Allahabad. Even after that, you can compare among various other colleges like NIT Silchar, NIT Durgapur, IIIT Jabalpur with HBTU Kanpur.
If you are getting admission to any of these colleges listed below then you should not even slightly think about leaving them for HBTI Kanpur.
