Which college is best for an MBA, MIT Pune or Bharati Vidyapeeth (IMED) in Pune?

Both MIT Pune and Bharati Vidyapeeth’s IMED are private institutes offering MBA to students. Of the two, MIT was affiliated with Pune University up until 2017 but is now in accords with MIT WPU. Bharati Vidyapeeth is a deemed university and is quite well established and well on its way to becoming a premier MBA institute. Here are some factors for comparison before planning to take admission to either of these institutions:

Eligibility:

MIT Pune:

  • In order to be eligible for admission, students need to score at least 50% grades in their graduation. (45% for reserve category.)
  • They also need to provide scores obtained in CAT, XAT, MHCET, MAT, or CMAT.

IMED Pune:

  • IMED Pune does not require students to provide CAT Scores which could a possible drawback.
  • For qualifying for admission, students need to score at least 50% in their graduation. (45% for reserve category.)
  • Additionally, applicants also need to appear for BMAT, an entrance exam held by the university in order to secure admission to the course.

Fee Structure:

  • There is a major difference in fees when it comes to comparing this factor between the two institutes. The following table includes information on the same:

Placements:

MIT Pune:

  • MIT WPU has a 100% placement rate for the last few years with the highest paying package offered at INR 13.5 lakhs per annum.

  • Some of the top recruiters visiting the institute for placements are Bridgestone, KPIT, Volkswagen, Vodafone, Yes Bank, Aditya Birla among others.

IMED Pune:

  • With a stellar record of 100% placements, about 150+ companies visit the institute every year.
  • The highest package offered at IMED is INR 54.08 (international) lakhs per annum and INR 16.10 (domestic) with an average salary of INR 7 lakhs per annum.
  • Oracle, Amazon, Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, Wipro, Tech Mahindra are some of the popular recruiters that visit the campus annually.

Lastly, it depends on the budget and placement value that the applicant is looking for. IMED Pune has fewer fees and better placement as compared to MIT Pune. Applicants should carefully consider these factors before applying for admission to any of these institutes.
