What is the scope of instrumentation & control engineering in NIT Trichy placement-wise?

Microsoft, P&G, Reliance Industries, etc. are some of the major recruiters that take part in the placement drive. The highest CTC offered to the students of this branch is around INR 40-50 LPA. Around 65-70% of students also get internship opportunities.
I have a few friends who are NIT Trichy alumni. According to them, instrumentation and Control Engineering has a good placement record.
