Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology to Fill Vacant Seats through JEE Main Merit, Check Details Here

Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology is inviting applications for admission to the BE/B.Tech admissions on the basis of JEE Main 2020 merit.

Earlier, TIET had conducted three rounds of online counselling on 5, 14, and 24 August 2020 for admission into BE/BTech on the basis of 10+2 PCM score.

Previously, all the seats have been offered to candidates on the basis of 10+2 PCM merit. Hereafter, any vacant seats due to withdrawal(s) will be filled in next round of counselling on 22.09.2020 (instead of earlier announced date of 15.09.2020) on the basis of JEE Main – 2020 merit.

TIET BE/B.Tech Eligibility

Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Technical Vocational subject*
has appeared in JEE (Main)-2020
possesses a good moral character.
Candidate must be a citizen of India

TIET BE/B.Tech Admission Criteria

Admission into the BE/B. Tech courses of TIET will be granted on the basis of percentile-based merit (All India Rank) of JEE Main – 2020.

Candidates who have already applied are not required to fill the new form as their previous form will be considered on the basis of JEE Main rank 2020. While the Vacant seat status shall be available on the website w.e.f. 02.09.2020.
