Nalanda University offers 2 years of Master's level programs namely, MA in Hindu Studies / World Literature / Historical Studies / Buddhist Studies, Philosophy and Comparative Religions, MSc in Ecology and Environment Studies and MBA in Sustainable Development and Management. 

Nalanda University Courses also include 4 years of PhD program in World Literature, Sustainable Development and Management, Ecology and Environment Studies, Historical Studies, Buddhist Studies, Philosophy and Comparative Religions and Hindu Studies (Sanātana). 

Candidates interested in Nalanda University Admission 2022, can apply online at nalandauniv.edu.in. However, students need to demonstrate a higher level of proficiency in English and test scores of TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, PTE or STEP.

Nalanda University Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria

For MA / M.Sc program

• Graduate in any stream (Humanities/Sciences/Engineering/Management/Law) can apply for any program.
• Secured a minimum of 55% or 2.2/4.0 GPA or equivalent in graduation.
• Students from non-English speaking countries or mediums need to submit scores of TOEFL / IELTS or any other standard certification in English.

For MBA in Sustainable Development and Management

• For Indian students, a minimum of 70 percentile in CAT / XAT / MAT is required.
• For international students, a minimum 3.0/4.0 credit score/GPA at the Undergraduate level or relevant GMAT score is required.
• For Working Executives, at least 5 years of work experience will be considered.
• CAT /XAT /MAT score is not required for working professionals.

For PhD Program

• Master’s degree with at least 65% marks or equivalent GPA preferably with dissertation at Masters’ level or M.Phil with 65% marks or equivalent GPA.
• Applicants need to submit a Statement of Purpose (SOP), a detailed research proposal and evidence of any research writing samples or published papers (2-3).

For Part-Time PhD (Employed Applicants)

• Should have Master’s degree with minimum of 65% marks or equivalent GPA.
• At least 8-10 years of work experience.
• Need to submit 1 Letter of Self Introduction and 2 Letters of Recommendation/ References.
• Need to submit an SOP.
• Need to submit a detailed Research Proposal and any evidence of research writing samples or published papers (2 to 3).
• International applicants need to submit language proficiency proof like TOEFL, IELTS or any other standard English test on international platforms.
• Or, completed a full-time degree course in English.

• However, the university will admit or not admit students at its discretion.
