New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK) has joined hands with Germany-based Kempten University of Applied Sciences to offer four-year engineering programs. These courses will be available from the upcoming academic session of 2023-24.
As per JNTU Kakinada, a team led by AP State Council of Higher Education Chairman Prof K Hemachandra Reddy and JNTUK Vice-Chancellor Prof GVR Prasada Raju visited many universities in Germany to look for academic collaboration from October 18 to October 24, 2022.
Informing about the initiative, Prof GVR Prasada Raju said, “In principle, Steinbeis University, Berlin, has agreed to collaborative research in the field of green energy. An agreement has been signed with Kempten University of Applied Sciences for four-year engineering programs during the visit".
Through this agreement, the university aims to offer various collaborative courses to students so that they can get double degrees in various fields of study. The university is currently offering many courses to its students in collaboration with universities abroad.
Meanwhile, the JNTUK Narasaraopet will soon start the classes for engineering courses from its permanent campuses. The first phase of construction work for the same has been completed and the university is making necessary preparations to commence classes for students.
As per the officials, the campus of JNTUK Narasaraopet will include various facilities for students and faculty members, such as an academic block, fully equipped classrooms, computer labs and mechanical workshops and hostel buildings to accommodate 2,000 students.
