New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology, (IIT Kanpur) has begun the application process for admission to its MTech, MS & PhD program for the academic session 2023-24. Interested candidates seeking admission to the MTech, MS, and PhD program can submit the online application form through the official portal of IIT Kanpur @www.iitk.ac.in.

IIT Kanpur offers M.Tech program in 13 different specialisations in regular mode(full time), and M.S by research program in 9 specialisations. Both the programs are of 2 years of duration whereas the research-based Doctoral programs (Ph.D.) are offered in various specialisations.

Candidates intending to enrol for admission to the above-mentioned program can apply online. The last date to apply has been extended till April 14, 2023 from April 11. 2023. IIT Kanpur MTech admission are done as per COAP counselling, and the eligible candidates can register online @coap.iitkgp.ac.in/coap. However, for admission to a PhD program, a valid GATE score is required followed by Personal Interview.

IIT Kanpur MTech, MS & PhD Admission 2023-24: Eligibility Criteria

In order to enrol for IIT Kanpur MTech, MS & PhD programs, candidates will have to fulfil the requisite eligibility criteria.

M.Tech and M.S (Research) Eligibility:

• Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Science or a Master's degree in science with at least aggregate of 55% marks/ 5.5 CPI GATE score. 
• The requirement of GATE score is not required for the candidates with a B.Tech/B.S (Four Year) degree from IITs with a minimum overall CPI of 6.5 and a minimum CPI of 8.0 in the last two years in B.Tech/B.S (Four Year)

• For MS (Research) in CSE, applicants with B.Sc. (3-year) or equivalent with a minimum of 75% marks/7.5 CPI may also be considered.

• Students who are in the final year of their programme (likely to finish the programme by July 27, 2023) may also apply and secure provisional admission for the session commencing in July, 2023 (2023-24-I Semester).

PhD Eligibility:

• Candidates must hold a Master's degree in the relevant subject or a bachelor's degree in engineering or science or a master's degree in sciences with marks/CPI not below the specified minimum. 
• Candidates must either have a valid GATE score or must have qualified JRF/NET.

MTech & MS Selection Process:

• Admission to M.Tech and M.S research program will be done on the basis of GATE score.
• However, candidates will have to participate through CCMT Counselling for M.Tech, M.S (Research) program. 
• Candidates can register at the official CCMT website, fill in the application form by entering their personal/academic details. Select the desired choices and add the choices in decreasing order of preference and lock them. 
• The registration fee (INR 2200/- for General/ OBC and INR 1700/- for SC/ ST/PwD).. 
• During the counselling round, seats will be allotted. Candidates will have to download the allotment letter and report to the institute. 

PhD Selection Process:

• Candidates's final selection will be done on the basis of score of GATE followed by Written Test/ Personal Interview conducted by IIT Kanpur.

Step 1: Visit the official application portal of IIT Kanpur @hwww.iitk.ac.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, search for the registration window and click on it. After that register yourself by filling all the required details. Step 3: Now, it'll redirect you to the login page, where you can use your registration credentials to fill the Application form.

Step 4: Pay the requisite application fee and submit the application form.

Step 5: Finally, take a print out of the application form for future references.
