New Delhi: NIT Hamirpur boosted its national ranking of Architectural department to 9th position, issued by IIRF. NIT Hamirpur was allotted 68.57 marks out of 100 for Architect Ranking. NIT Hamirpur also ranked 2nd in the multi-technical institution category. In 2020, NIT Hamirpur ranked 19 for architecture.

On this appreciable achievement, the director of NIT Hamirpur, prof. H M Suryawanshi praised everyone related to the institution faculty, staff members, and students. He also added that this achievement should not make them satisfied but encourage them to work harder to achieve many more milestones.
The NIT Hamirpur Bachelor’s in Architecture is also ranked 23rd by the NIRF in 2021. The fee structure for both the programs B.Arch and M.Arch is INR 1.46 lacs (1st year) and INR 94,100 (1st year) respectively.
NIT Hamirpur offers bachelor's and master's degrees in Architecture of 5 years and 2 years respectively. The selection for bachelor’s is done on the basis of students’ marks in JEE Main exam. And for the master’s degree score of the GATE exam is considered for selection.
In light of improved ranking and the infrastructure, the placement drive has also increased. In 2022, around 464 students got placed in well-reputed organizations. The highest salary offered was INR 1.51CPA and the average salary package offered was INR 10.3 LPA. The top recruiters were Amazon UK, Amazon London, BloomsBerg LP, Meta London, and more.
