New Delhi: "Transforming Bharat" was the topic of a one-day conference held by the IILM University in Gurugram. The conference's slogan was "Be job creators rather than job seekers." The discussions centred on the technological era, which demands creativity for people to acquire practical employability and entrepreneurial skills.

According to Professor (Dr.) Sujata Shahi, vice chancellor of IILM University, the institute has given its students a curriculum that equips them to be Aatma Nirbhar, skill-based, and responsible citizens of the country.

16 notable people from various professions were present at the one-day seminar on "Transforming Bharat via Skills, Employability and Entrepreneurship." Swadeshi Jagran Manch, IIM Trichy, Hero MotoCorp, Amazon Internet Services, IBM, S&P Global, JBM Group, IIIT Lucknow, Rockwell Automation India, Bikanerwala, Ch. Bansi Lal University, Gurugram University, and Shri Vishwakarma University were among the guests.

Pawan Jindal, Sangh Prant Sangchalak, urged youth to respect all types of employment and not undervalue any work, no matter how tiny, during the opening session. The concept of "entrepreneurship" needs to be promoted more among young people, according to Satish Kumar, national co-organizer of Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM), so that they generate jobs rather than go for employment abroad.

The other three panel discussions were divided into sub-themes

  • Role of educational institutes as a model for the future
  • Future of Jobs: Impact on equal entrepreneurial opportunities
  • India as a global player in the educational sector

In order to discuss the revolution that would result from the dynamic, forward-looking NEP 2020 policy announced by the Government of India, which encourages and stresses the inclusion of education with technology advancement that may result in employability and entrepreneurial skills, IILM University, Gurugram provided a public forum through this conference.
