New Delhi: Francis Xavier Engineering College has successfully concluded its placement process for its academic batch of 2021-22 on June 06, 2022. The highest package offered is INR 13 LPA with around 876 job offers made to the students.

Francis Xavier Engineering College witnessed leading software development companies in the recruitment drive offering annual packages ranging from INR 3 LPA to INR 13 LPA. Around 83 students of the institute have received offers with a salary of INR 10 LPA.

S Cletus Babu, Chairman of SCAD Group of Institutions, spoke about the outstanding reaction received during placements, stating that 122 renowned firms visited the institution and chose all 274 students who presented for the campus recruitment and surprisingly all of the students have received at least two offers.

The Chairman attributed the successful placement to the 20 odd applied laboratories established in collaboration with 519 industrial partners, as well as placement training on the continuously changing employment landscape.

He stated that students are permitted to work in labs in the fields of cyber forensics, mobile app development, data science, augmented and virtual reality, machine learning, robotics and automation, and programming, which will help students to gain employable skills enabling them to obtain attractive placements in leading companies.

During the event, Dr Cletus Babu informed, “At least 250-odd final year students are already getting salary from the companies that have provided them high-end laptops with latest software packages.”

According to K Jayakumar, Francis Xavier Engineering College, General Manager (Development), the college won a research grant worth INR 3.50 crore from several government agencies.

From this academic year, the college will offer ‘minor degrees’ and hence a student pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering can also get a ‘minor degree’ in the course of preference, which will increase their employability, he added.
