The objective behind taking the SAT exam is showcasing before the universities the preparedness and knowledge proficiency of a specific candidate based on a uniform data point. This is one of the reasons, the SAT is mostly taken during high school years.

DPS Srinagar as an SAT center has become a boon to the students and is marking an advancement in the ‘SAT culture’. This is further backed by a statement from DPS, “Also, many students hesitate to take the exam as they have to travel outside J&K to take the exam, which is a drain on their resources. The establishment of the SAT Center will, therefore, greatly ease the difficulties of students.”

Words from the Principal Alistair R A Freese - “The Center will make it easier for the students aspiring to study in international Colleges and save them the annoyance of traveling. Moreover, this shall make the students in Srinagar aware of this exam and develop SAT Culture so that our students don’t give up on their aspirations.”

The Chairman of DPS, Vijay Dhar celebrated the victory by stating, “I am proud that Delhi Public School Srinagar is the first and only SAT Center in J&K. This is a vindication of the quality of our resources, both human and infrastructure.”
