COMEDK UGET 2020 is scheduled for August 19, 2020. It is a state level entrance examination for admission into undergraduate engineering courses for around 200 colleges in the state of Karnataka. Things to Carry in Exam Hall

COMEDK UGET 2020: Things to Carry in Examination Hall

Given below is the list of things that are to be carried by candidates while going for the examination. Candidates must carry these things otherwise they won’t be allowed inside the examination hall.

  • Printed copy of Test Admission Ticket (TAT)
  • Original ID Proof as mentioned in application form
  • Two Recent Passport Size Color Photograph
  • Pencil will be allowed for rough work
  • Only Transparent water bottles will be allowed inside the examination hall
  • Personal Hand Sanitizer (max 50 ml)
  • Must bring and wear a mask and hand gloves throughout the examination process.

COMEDK UGET 2020: Things not allowed inside the Examination Hall

COMEDK has released a list of things which will not be allowed inside the examination. Candidates will be required to go through a proper frisking procedure while entering the examination centre. If any candidate is found with these disbarred things, then he will be now allowed inside the examination hall.

  • Any personal devices like mobile phones, tablets, calculators, Bluetooth devices, electronic gadgets etc are strictly prohibited.
  • Any kind of paper except Test Admission Ticket and valid ID Proof are strictly prohibited inside the examination center.
  • Any type of bags, wallets, belts etc will not be allowed inside the examination hall. Candidates will be required to leave these items outside the examination hall.

COMEDK UGET 2020: COVID - 19 Safety Instructions for Candidates

COMEDK agency has also laid down a set of guidelines to be followed by candidates keeping in mind the safety of candidates in the current pandemic situation. These guidelines are to be followed by every candidate. These guidelines are mandated to avoid delays and make the entire examination process safe, and hassle free. These guidelines are given below:

  • Candidates must maintain social distancing starting from the point of entry to the exam venue till his exit from the exam venue.
  • All candidates are required to install Arogya Setu App. The app should show the risk factor of the candidate. The mobile phones will be allowed till the entry gate of the exam venue.
  • In case candidates do now show Arogya Setu App, then they will have to provide a signed declaration to this effect. This declaration should be shown to the guard at the time of entry.
  • Entry time will be provided to candidates via mail or sms one day before the exam. Entry will be given to candidates according to their entry time to maintain social distancing.
  • Temperature will be checked at the entry gate at the exam gun via thermo guns.
  • Candidates showing COVID-19 symptoms will not be allowed inside the exam center.
  • Candidates must bring their mask, hand sanitizer, gloves, pencil, water bottle and other important documents. Without these, candidates will not be allowed inside the examination hall.
  • Candidates should follow the directions given by the representatives.
  • Candidates should stand at the circles marked at the center.
  • Candidates will be asked to sanitize their hands at the registration desk. Their photographs will be captured while doing it.
  • Candidates must strictly adhere to the time slot provided to them for the entry.

Social Distancing Exam Process

  1. Crowd Management and Entry- To ensure the safety and hassle-free process, candidates will be given a slot of minutes each at entry gate. All the guards would be wearing masks and gloves at all times. Candidates would be asked to make a queue and sanitize their hands at the gate.
  2. Checks at Entrance Gate- Body temperature will be checked of the candidates. Along with this, candidates will have to show Arogya Setu App and their documents. Candidates with above 99.14 degree Fahrenheit body temperature or showing High/ medium risk status in Arogya Setu app will not be allowed inside the examination hall.
  3. Baggage Area Management- Candidates will have to sanitize their hands, and then they will be allowed to proceed towards baggage area. Only limited candidates will be allowed at baggage area at a time and they will be required to keep their mobile phones inside the bag.
  4. Document Verification and Bar Code Scan- Candidates will have to sanitize their hands before presenting their documents for verification. They will be required to wait for their turn and stand at the marks on the floor. Documents will be verified rom a safe distance,
  5. Pe-Exam Process in Exam Labs- After verification, candidates will have to sanitize their hands and proceed for registration. At registration desk, candidates will be asked to remove their mask and their photo will be captured. After that, candidates will proceed to their allotted systems.
  6. Allocation of Seats at Exam Center- Candidates will be seated keeping social distancing norms. All the equipment will be sanitized before and after each exam shift.
  7. Usage of Lifts- Usage of lifts will be allowed only in extreme cases. Candidates will have to use the staircase following social distancing norms. Hand sanitizer will be kept in the lift so that hands can be sanitized before and after touching buttons.
