For the places to live in, we all have own dreams and perceptions to support the type of areas. Personally, I believe it is more preferable to stay in a large city compared to stay in a small town. I have two definite reasons behind this and I am exploring these in my essay.

First of all, big cities have a lot of offers – a great environment and almost all the facilities within our reach which is much needed to raise children. For the people who consider and value family the most, the big cities are like a dream place to live in. Along with this, the big cities have parks for children and elders and recreation centers that encourage a healthy life for all. The well-funded community centers of the big cities also contribute towards the intellectual growth of all. The small towns cannot offer amenities to the citizens to this extent. I have experienced so many facilities after I have shifted to a big city. It is not that we don’t face any problem in the big city, but the solutions to our problems are always ready in our hands. From wellness centers to all the professional help all are within our reach but when I was in a small town, I had to wait a long time for the minimum assistance. Another factor that I have to mention is the score in the big cities – when it comes to career or study, we have so many scopes, which the small towns cannot offer at all. It is not that small towns cannot offer any scope but there are specific limitations – we need to compromise or we have to shift to the big cities. The ease of travel is another thing I enjoy the most in the big cities and that’s one of the most noticeable limitations of the small towns.

Secondly, big cities are culturally rich as people of different origins reside here. Overall, big cities offer a great learning experience in terms of food, festivals, music, and almost everything else. For example, I have tasted different cuisines and attended different festivals. Honestly, I did not have such easy access to all these when I was in a small town.

To conclude, I personally feel that living in a big city is preferable compared to living in a small town. I am having a very comfortable experience in a big city both for my need and I feel culturally enriched as well. I believe this will be applicable to others as well.
