To achieve PR Visa in Canada a candidate must fulfill the requirements of the Canadian Immigration department which includes the qualifying score in the language proficiency tests like IELTS, TOEFL, and CELPIP.
Canada has two official languages – English and/or French and as per Canada’s immigration laws, The immigrants have to show their English and/or French language skills through these tests - IELTS General training or CELPIP is enough to fulfill the requirements.

Along with qualifying score in IELTS and CELPIP, Canadian immigration laws ask to prove French language proficiency too. For that, a candidate has to qualify TEF and DELF because the provinces, like Quebec, and some areas of New Brunswick, Ontario, and Manitoba, French is the official language.
Canadian immigration department uses Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) for English and Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadien (NCLC) for French.

Canadian Immigration department does not accept the IELTS Academic test or CELPIP General-LS test for Express Entry.
