First of all, in the present time, students are less and sometimes least dependent on the teachers, there was a time, students were much dependent on the class notes. The explanation of the teachers, too, matters a lot to them at that time. Even a few years ago, the only way to learn was to go to school and understand a chapter from the teacher – there were no other ways. But right now, the scenario is completely changed – internet has become one of the most dominant modes of teaching. It is sometimes correctly said that google knows everything and naturally, the students of the present time are much dependent on online help. They simply don’t need the explanation or the class notes of their teacher because they know they will get the guidance from google. I would like to mention my cousin as one of the examples of this. For her, the explanations of the teacher were not sufficient. Instead of gluing in the class notes, she started taking online help and she scored really well. This is a reason why today’s generation doesn’t have any respect for their teachers at all.

Secondly, I feel that teachers are not that strict anymore, as a result, the children don’t fear them. If this continues, teachers may fail to discipline the students. There will be more chances of misbehaved students and naturally, they will not respect their teachers at all. I think that teachers of present time try to be extremely friendly with their students and that sometimes makes the students indisciplined. For instance, a number of teachers are not willing to give even a minimum punishment to the students for their wrongdoings. Maybe the teachers are worried about the parents’ reaction or they are afraid of getting way too rude – but the fact is they keep ignoring the wrongdoing of the students. This is partially nurturing the mistakes of the students and the students have no respect for their teachers due to these reasons.

In conclusion, I will again say that students, at present, do not respect their teachers the way they should do. It is mainly because they don’t feel teachers are essential as alternative assistance is available on google. Plus teachers are not that strict which indirectly pokes the student to do more mistakes – as a result, they don’t have any respect for the teachers.
