In the present time, television and movie screens portray certain controversial characters which create a mark in certain people’s minds and eventually they play a similar role. An instance which will explain how the screens are cooking up unwanted changes in people is the character of ‘anti-hero’ who is absolutely rowdy and behaves rudely with people and to add the cherry on top, is also misanthropic. This particular character is omnipresent on every kind of television and movie screens. In fact, I’ve personally witnessed a very close friend of mine go through this change. Back in my college, he was a topper when he started watching films alike. To my surprise, he ended up being notorious who started fighting with classmates and getting straight C’s and D’s. Presently, he is not getting a proper job as he flunked back then.

Television and movie screens are not always bad, in fact, there are some noteworthy shows that amp up the bonding of families and relationships. My own family has been greatly touched by the ‘The Cosby Show’ and they are greatly inspired by it. Modern Family, Simpsons are a few more widely famous sitcoms. These family sitcoms influence people greatly with their stable and joyful families. There are more programs and movies which aim at women empowerment and greatly impact women of today’s time. This even results in them enrolling for more self-defense classes and even climb the glass-ceiling. Though we are unable to live up to the expectations of the characters shown that does create an optimistic impact on our lives.

To conclude, it must be told that television and movies do influence people in the present time in a massive way. Few affect us to behave in detrimental ways, whereas few uplifts our actions and mindsets to become better people.
