Firstly, large cities have major cultural and social interests to offer. It is filled with literature, arts, science and more, and these spheres promote the child’s interest in pursuing that form. Like, I grew up in a popular metropolitan city and my whole childhood mostly involved visiting to book fairs, literary festivals, and cultural programs every weekend. This developed in me the interest to pursue dance as my academic career and therefore, I majored in performing arts from a renowned university. It is because my childhood revolved around these things, I was open to selecting any subject I like. And today, I am a choreographer with my dance classes spread across the map. But a child residing in the countryside will not be able to be a part of these programs.

Secondly, large cities comprise of distinctive kinds of people hailing from different ends of the world. This leads to kids meeting people with diverse cultures and social backgrounds, which eventually help in their growth of mindset. Cities are the ultimate source of meeting new kinds of people and immersing in diversity. For instance, I’ve my sister residing in New Jersey and she is presently in college. She has numerous friends of different continents and different mother tongues. This assortment of friends has made her free to interact with every kind of person and has made her open to changes. In fact, she recently bagged a high-paying job that was on the lookout for international candidates.

To conclude, growing up in a city outruns countryside upbringing as children are more tend to learn about diverse cultures and social backgrounds.
