Topic: The advantages about living in my city

Model Answer 1:

We often get to hear certain types of stories from a person who has recently started staying in a city from a rural area. In those stories, we hear both conveniences and inconveniences. The conveniences are mostly about the ample ranges of availability of shops, malls, jobs, and similar facilities. The inconveniences are focused on excessive traffic congestion, noise and air pollution, competitiveness among people, and more.

So it happened that one of my friends is planning to relocate to my city and is inquisitive about their livelihood. My friend is from Japan and is currently living in a small town in California. One thing I have already informed my friend about my city is its cultural diversity or conflicts. Now, my friend encounters local people every day and is in favor of the culture as well. But on the other hand, he doesn’t seem to find shops, foods, or restaurants in connection with his hometown. This is making him cut out on his own nativity, and he is unable to fixate his mind there. This is making him feel the absence of his family, and hometown even more. Moving to a big city will make him stay in connection with all types of people, restaurants, food, supermarkets, and more.

Though there is one big inconvenience that he is going to face, and that is excessive traffic congestion. We get agitated with the number of vehicles, and traffic jams almost every day. People who drive become immensely irritated because of the tremendous jam they get. In fact, most of the time we don’t get parking spots, either in parking areas or on the streets. Here, the apartments also don’t provide space for parking sometimes. It then makes it impossible for the residents to find a parking space, making it very risky for their cars. This is a very big reason most of the people residing in cities prefer to cut out on purchasing private cars and travel by public transport. But it should be kept in mind that public transport is again not very smooth in many areas.

In conclusion, it can be said that the city will both be a boon and a disappointment to my foreign friend. It will deprive him of the peace he used to get while driving in his previous place. But at the same time give him a wide range of facilities that will connect him to his hometown.

Model Answer 2:

Most of the people residing in rural areas find it very difficult to choose to continue their stay in rural areas or relocate to the city. I have been in a city since birth and I find it both a blessing and sometimes a disappointment. I would like to share my views on living in my city as I have been living here for quite some time now.

The first thing that is very convenient for me as well as for most of the citizens residing is the variety of products, education, jobs, trading, travel destinations, and more that are present here. My city has people from different cultures, nations, and is a very diversified place. There is a very mutual connection of integrity among people in my city. Whenever there is an issue we all try to help each other overcome the same. There is no issue with food as it comprises different kinds of restaurants offering different cuisines. There are supermarkets that comprise abundant products from all over the world. That offers the people the opportunity to try different types of products, food, and more. Education is very advanced here, and that is evident from the teaching methods of the schools. There are numerous colleges and universities offering plentiful courses. The students have the liberty to pursue any course they want.

Though there is one disappointment which I personally don’t like is the weather. The weather generally goes to either extreme. The summer notices tremendous warmth, and the winters are very chilly. Even after all these years of my life, I have not been able to acclimatize to the weather. It is not possible to switch off the ACs and coolers during the summers, and the heaters during the winters.

In conclusion, my city has both advantages and disadvantages. If someone is not favorable with extreme weather, they should not consider coming. Otherwise, my city has a lot to offer.
